yes, because none of us knew what he meant and nitpicking that part was a necessity

you also could've given him corrections instead of just bothering him by saying its wrong

i hope you understand that if by some miracle these ideas are considered, these are not the final product and small, blatant mistakes like that don't need to be corrected at this point

Would it surpise you if I tell you I think you are being hostile?

Lore needs to be free of spelling errors. So this is not nitpicking. It does not matter if everyone knows what is meant.

I did give him suggestions on how to correct these spelling mistakes, you are actually quoting them.

I mean Battle Hungry is Comeback, when the recruit gets corrupted... the adventurer is mad that the recruit, who had so much potential, was corrupted and never lived to her potential...
what is the opinion of that twist? maybe I could continue the story on some later legendary rings...
I will try to summarize Comeback more if I can think of some way, without changing the story...

I did not realise Battle Hungry is Corrupted Comeback.

    Phaniks
'It was a comical sight, an eager recruit challenged a veteran adventurer. Ember however was swift and nimble and whittled down Socos the adventurer until she won. She was given a ring, almost like solidified flames.

    Positive fire damage
    Positive agility
    Positive walkspeed
Negative health reg and health reg%

    Battle Hungry

'Corrupted by rage and hate in her heart, Ember found her demise in the fires of battle. A ring tainted with pain and hatred, almost intangible like smoke, was discovered clasped in her hands.'

    Positive poison
Negative life steal, health reg and health reg%

    Anguish

'It devasted the adventurer Socos with sadness as he recognised the ring given to Ember, the promising recruit. He threw the ring in the fireplace. As it turned glowing red, a second ring rose from it.'

    Positive life steal
Negative health reg and health reg%

I think, when the recruit and adventurer have a name mentioned in the lore, the link between the rings is more likely to be understood instantly. Other than calling it Comeback and Corrupted Comeback.

What is the maximum amount of letters and spaces, lore text on items can have? It seems to be around 180.

I'm not sure if there should be an item that has a past and a present version at the same time in the game. Maybe the second version of the ring could be a 'shadow' version, the tainted essence of the ring materialised or something like that. Or a kind of 'Phoenix' ring that when in a fire, brings forth another ring, while the original remains. How does that work? It's magic.
