    this is probably horrible...
alright, alright, i know, there's already a new dungeon being added in the form of mortal mountain, gavel's first full-on dungeon. however...i and my two chiefs aren't exactly a fan of the way the current dungeons work. they rely basically on your ability to kill stuff. it's that simple.

so i have the solution to our problem, and anyone else who may be looking for more of an intellectual challenge for a change, in the form of a new dungeon:

    timeless timeline
it doesn't take a genius to figure out where this dungeon will be centered at. since the door of time, and by extension time valley as a whole, hasn't been given a proper use, i figured it was only necessary to give the valley at least some meaning, and what better way than by allowing it to be the access to a dungeon? in time valley, there would be a small tunnel beneath the ground would lead to a separate little area where there's really no rhyme or reason to the landscape aside from a small, sparse black path that leads to the area with the dungeon merchant and potion merchant. it would be suggested that a level 108 (if assuming the corkus update will bring a level cap increase) 99+ take on the dungeon, as it would be filled with dangerous creatures of the void between timelines and a few mind games.

yes, mind games. this thing actually relies mainly on one's deductive reasoning and problem solving skills and has far more than just a simple token gimmick, although that may be what it seems at first.

    first section
the first section of the dungeon is fairly straightforward, to stick with the idea of the first stage of a dungeon being centered around killing things. some of the enemies might include:
    - timelost adventurer [lv. 104, lv. 110] [drops tokens]
    - continuum rift [lv. 106] [doesn't drop tokens]
    - sentient timer [lv. 107, lv. 111] [drops tokens]

upon obtaining anywhere from 21 to 34 tokens and slinging them into the hopper, the door opens and congrats, you're past the first act. but the play is just beginning, and now the stage is set...

second section a.k.a. where things become anything other than incredibly simple
i won't lie, this is the part that's going to get flak. the second section - rooms 2-4 - will be filled with puzzles that are randomly shuffled (if such a thing is possible; otherwise, boldfaced puzzles are what i suggest to be the puzzles to use otherwise) every time you run the dungeon. some of the puzzles that may need to be solved include:
    - the test of patience: three levers are on three separate platforms that are connected by fragmented platforms. in order to solve the puzzle, you must use the hint you receive to flip the switches in order and be prepared to fall. bonus points if you have to use wooden buttons to switch the direction that the platforms are heading towards as you make your way to each button.
    - the test of intelligence: you are given a set of 4 questions selected from a variety of many regarding your knowledge of wynn and its creators. some potential questions might include:

    - where are you when you first start a new class?
    - what was salted originally going to pick for his username?
    - what's the approximate chance of a perfect-ids morph-stardust?
    - what's the chance of a mythic dropping from a mob?
    - which piece of the morph set gives reflection?
    - which of these is not one of the three items needed for ??? to enter the area under yahya's house?
    - etc., etc.
    - the test of interpretation: you are placed before 8 consecutive sets of 5 doors, with a hint pertaining to the solution nailed to the wall on a sign. you must correctly interpret the sign in order to advance to the next puzzle or section of the dungeon.
    - the test of control: refrain from attacking the level 125 earth mage in front of you, regardless of how close he is to destroying you in one or two shots, for 30 seconds. failure to do so will result in having to start over. simple as that.
    - the test of recall: for 3 consecutive 9x9 void gaps, you are shown a path that goes from where you are to the next door. you have 20 seconds to go through this path without any barrier blocks to guide you. barrier blocks will be in place while the solution is being displayed to prevent you from going along it.
    - the test of deduction: you are given a set of 5 to 8 items and must drop them into the hopper in the correct order using the hint specified. must be successfully completed 3 separate times.

    third section
upon completing the three previous puzzles given to you, you are given a text:
    in a far-away future
where infinitely bright lights are seen
    the ornaments of wynnterfest
are red, blue, yellow, and _____.

simple enough to figure out, except you must follow the resulting pattern all the way through a complex parkour-oriented fragmented bridge that leads to the boss door. if you mess up the pattern at any point or go back, the platform you land on will break very shortly after landing on it and you will be shunted back to the start. unlike the previous puzzles, this does not change at all. always stay ready to dodge along the way as plenty of borderline-unkillable level 115 timelost archers will make their full attempt to throw their arrows' weight around enough to knock you off the platforms, and they've got decent knockback. upon completing the parkour, you come to...

    boss: time master breihr
(pronounced brye-er, change name if more fitting one can be found)
agitated that you are messing with the fabric of time without consulting him first, breihr decides to fight you one-on-one to prove that time and its lord are not to be trifled with.
    stats:

    level: 130
    health: 250k
    attack: ~3k neutral, 80% air
defense: tanks 20% of all damage including neutral, takes only 10% damage from water and thunder
spells: charge ii, attract ii, teleport iii
    passive ability:

timeless construct. immune to all debuffs (including wind prison and curse), but cannot heal or regen health by any means.
gimmick: in order to damage him, you must first scale the four giant clocks around the room and turn them on to grant the arena with a steady time flow, as breihr is invincible otherwise and will take no damage. for 10 seconds after the final clock is powered, breihr will be able to take damage and plenty of it if you're well-equipped enough.

    le rewards
beating the dungeon will reward you with [1 Breihr's Amulet] and [3 Timeless Timeline Fragment]. being a clock and a broken key, respectively, these will be able to net you some powerful items at the dungeon merchant:
    - 1 weapon for each class
    - a mega-powerful legendary wand (i'm a mage, ok?)
    - a powerful set of accessories - 2 rings, a bracelet, and a necklace
    - level 100-ish elemental potions for dungeon fragments, as well as wisdom potions for level 100-ish.

what still needs to be worked out
    - probably some balancing changes once all else is said and done
    - the stats of the gear you can buy at the dungeon merchant (including potions)
    - where the hell the key guardians are supposed to go
    - where you'd get teleport scrolls to the dungeon
    - there probably needs to be some level shifts downward for the enemies and such
    - how much do you wanna bet the other 3 classes are gonna want mega-powerful items

    is this good?
simple as that. if it isn't, tell me what needs to be changed and just how horrible it is. i won't be surprised.

trust me, i want to, but it's around 10 pm my time and i have school in 8 hours...i can't afford to spend hours coming up with specific stats and ids right now.

i will definitely expand more upon this and maybe even add a few pictures over the weekend, if not tomorrow.

...why do people love to derail whatever thread i make just because of my choice of font? if it triggers you that much, quote the post and change the font to normal font so you don't have to read the oh-so-terrible comic sans. it ain't that hard.
i'm not going to establish this a third time, i already did it once before.

Great idea, but Grian said that the level cap would not be changed, so you might want to change the levels of everything else. +1 supporter tho

well, that's disappointing. that's going to end up only limiting what can be done with the world eventually.

it has to go up at some point......right?

(also, the level cap was once 75 so)

For your questions on the puzzle I would like to quote MMO rule #14
Unless the quest or dungeon fully intends to for a comical or holiday purpose, DO NOT break the fourth wall.

Also level cap will not be raised for Corkus because it's not a real province.

Also 40 doors is a bit much.

    Besides that. +1

Make this a low level 15 dungeon, it wouldn't make sense for a level 100+ dungeon to be in the middle of Wynn. Time Valley is lvl 15-20 anyway

i'm a mage, why does this surprise you :v

    1. they were all examples, not saying any of them absolutely need to be added. just some ideas.

    2. bleh

    3. you're probably right, 30 or 25 doors is probably easier to deal with, will change

    4. yay

while i technically agree with this, there's one issue: where else would it go?

perhaps make the entrance part of a quest-related area? there are wynn quests that unlock as late-level as the 70s and early 80s, who's to say there can't be more higher-level quests? i wanted to put it in time valley mainly because the valley itself serves no actual purpose other than slight grinding capabilities.

(also for time valley being level 15-20, certain areas are as low-level as level 20 yet have much higher level quests associated with them (to give just two examples: temple of legends requires you travel to mage island, which is level 30, and bob's tomb is a level 45 area yet is visited during the reincarnation quest, which is level 74). why can't time valley have something like that, just on a greater scale?)

To be honest I think this would be better as a quest, also even tho the level caps are 100 mobs can be higher and I think that you should keep the mobs the level you put them because I mean I'm a level 75 and I am on tower of acension floor 7 level 9 so it's not that hard to fight above your level
