Multi-class Weapons

...i'm salty about this. two other classes get scythes, but mages don't? i get why archers don't (they utilize ranged weaponry which makes a scythe useless), but why not mages?

and ye i think archangel being a scythe is a bug

 

neither does having a sentient gumball for a pet, carrying around a scythe the size of your body while being an assassin, or being able to cast speed on yourself with a bow.

your point is...?

tell me a better weapon for archers than a bow

 

if an archer can cast speed on themselves without having any apparent magical abilities, i think it's safe to say a mage can find a way to cast ice snake and meteor with a scythe.

and that's all i'm gonna say on that.

 

and ye a scythe is melee tho

 

While hybrid weapon system would sound pretty cool, this might be a little conflicting for combat and balancing :/

No, we wouldn't have assassins shooting arrows, they'd still be using melee.
Think Hanzo's bow from the short "Dragons," he unsheathes a hidden blade at the tip.

Well, technically if you cast a war scream or a multihit, it's still called a spell, so it is magic.
If you wanted to make the argument that mages could potentially learn the arrow storm spell, you could.

A scythe sounds like a mage/assassin weapon, if you ask me.
