    Alright so in its current state defence (the skill) is pretty much useless imo. This is because defence only blocks neutral damage and not elemental. With 99% of the player base using an elemental weapon defence is practically useless as it literally does nothing. Because of this i tend to stay away from fire based weapons/gear in general as I dont really feel that im being benefitted for using these items as I would if i were to choose another element say air for example.
    My suggestion is to change the skill from blocking damage to adding health to the player instead. Defence should add a % amount of health based on a players maximum health. To stop this from being op the % of health added would be based on 25% of the player's maximum hp.
    E.g.
    Lets say a player has 8k health and 88 sp in defence (about 60%). This is how it would be calculated:
    8000×.25×.6= 1200 extra hp.
    Therefore the player would have 9200hp instead of 8000 and defence is actually doing its job at allowing the player to take more hits. Please comment on wether you agree or disagree with the idea and any suggestions you think would make the idea better/more balanced. e.g. it should be based on 20% of their health instead of 25% or any other improvements you can think of. Im sorry if this has been suggested before and if so i will credit the original thread here {--------------}

    2nd it not blocking elem dmg is a glitch

    No thanks, defense is amazing for warriors and can make some warrior builds near unkillable while still doing great fire damage with it.

I believe you are referring to elemental tanks which are broken in pvp atm due to them being overpowered as discussed on this thread by other community members https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/the-gimmick-that-is-pvp.159544/ . Im not going to explain why this build is overpowered but you should get the point from that thread. The only reason defense is so good in this example is because people literally do no damage with elemental weapons so they are forced to use neutral weapons which the defense can actually block. One of the only times people use neutral weapons is when fighting rainbow tanks (which are broken in pvp) and i dont think that because defense is good in this example that it means its a good skill due to the nature of the build.

    Still doesn't change the fact that the defense skill is the reason why that build works buffing it would make that build even stronger then it already is, plus buffing defense is still not needed as it is complete fine as it is.

    Elemental tank would still be op without the defence skill. if anything it would actually nerf the build by giving it the weakness its meant to have i.e neutral damage. The fact is that elemental tank (a broken build likely to be changed) is the only build that can make good use of defence in its current state which is why i think it should be changed

    The fire build that soloed Wybel with basics only?( I understand it's a bug but so is def skill not giving elemental def percentage.)

    To each their own I guess, I love defence. High health, health regen and very versatile.

    the elem tanks are not broken, seeing as I'm the the original maker of them pretty much XD i should now, tbh its just a good build..
    the real problem is ppl are comparing it to bad builds lol
    there are plenty of ppl who can even one shot me without natural dmg

    my tip to you, is you think its broken, get a good build

    all of the builds are quite balanced. @JaydonTheWarrior here has over like 700 elemental defense in each element, but poison (which is a but overpowered rn) can easily penetrate all of that, even when it does get nerfed. A 60% reduction in damage taken is just as overpowered as 20/4s mana regen and costing 1 mana to cast a spell, 60% dodge chance, or even 60% more damage dealt. There are ways to counter defense builds, and complaining that something is not good enough when it really is is kinda foolish.

    Well then how the fuck does this fix this so called "elemental damage", and this would baisicly make rainbow builds stronger (due to +defense means health)

    And this would increase health in grim-cactus users, possibly making them benefit more since it would be harder to kill. A cactus harder to kill (more health) means higher health classes can get the damage their dealing.

    If someone is just a pure earth build, then they would gain 1000-2000 health in earth. And since a lvl 70+ is able to deal 1k-30k+ (depending on the weapon) damage, that extra 1k borderline useless




    Why not give earth a minor buff in all elemental defense per skill point

    ive been told that this is what they were meant to do. but the fact that they havent patched this socalled glitch even though its been around since the release of gavel tells me that they arent too keen on the idea of giving it elemental def or its just hard to impliment

    First is too bad the new mechanic,this is more a debuff than a buff,at least can be a 50% or 75%
    And second you already have elemental defence on armor and including weapons,but no in the neutral damage,this is why only reduces neutral damage the defense stat
    Start looking in the another aspects before posting something,or can end with the same thing when I do in my first post (that all rejected like you ;-;)

    Basically to increase health, instead of decreasing damage taken? No please, I don't want my fire/air archer to be that vulnerable again.
