World Solutions To The Emerlad Inflations.

Well, as most of you know, right now the ecomony has WAY too much money in it, theres a thread that explains it deeply somewhere else, I will just give simple ideas how to bypass inflations, some are stuff that only staff can do, some are stuff you can do.

Staff thingy:
1. nerf Emerlad gain by a lot, then make a new coin, you can call it "New Emerlad", each new Emerlad will be worth 1 LE, 64 new emerlads will be transfered to a new Emerlad block, which will transfer to a new Emerlad LE.
The new emerlad merchant will reside at Detlas, and all traders, mobs, and loot chests will now drop the new emerlad currency,
Will add more later :D

no srs this would be too easy to dupe and you barely added detail, and yes i did read that you will add more later.
also, the title says "Emerlad", not Emerald.

 

We're not adding any new "emerlads" any time soon, sorry. This could te players mad and brig worth 1 LE will just inflate the economy even more

 

Well this suggestion just reduces the amount currently in the game. It does not fix inflation. You just set it back a few inches.

 

Belive me when I say there is no good way of fixing the inflation.

 

well there is, but on other MMO's where the creators have more control over the economy, like EVE or something like that, the owners tax all trades of currency. I doublt that would work on wynncraft since the trading system is hard to control. A way to tax trades maybe is perhaps have all emeralds be traded on a separate area, and a certain percentage of the emeralds will be taken. This may seem bad at first, but once everyone get's used to it, it'll just fix the economy.

Not that i think about it, wynncrat did try to fix the economy be nerfing the amount of money item buyers pay for items, and potions, which everyone is forced to buy except for mages.

Economics is a complicated topic, especially when currency is hard to get rid of... and it's only a game.

Wouldn't this instead inflate the economy...since this would just replace LE (which would have the same value of a new emerald) and make it easier for hackers to take emeralds

 

I recall saying "there is no good way of fixing the inflation." as removing all money will cause people to get mad and some to even leave, and not to talk about that that would only be a temporary fix.

 

you don't get what i mean, the new emerlads will be dropped instead of normal ones, but with nerfed gain, when all will jhave simillar amounts of cash, further nerfs can be used, unlike the nerf to Emerlad quest that really didn't help.

 

Again this would only be a temporary fix.

 

The new emerlads are only to make loot runs' quests, and mob drops nerf possible, after that the ecomony may live again

 

No this would be a temporary fix since it would only be a matter of time before people have 10 + stacks of le.

I'd rather not have a whole new set of currency, because that won't solve anything. What will solve anything, however, is renaming "emeralds" to "emerlads". How will it solve anything?

...I don't know, stop pressuring me!

 

Inflation can't really be fixed unless you overprice things which will then make people with less emeralds mad
