Sea Battles and War Ships

Guild wars are currently rather boring, this is an idea to spice things up a bit.
*I am aware that guilds are near broken, this is for when guilds are fixed*

Sea Battles
The Ocean will now have territories!
When A guild attacks an ocean territory, they will spawn on a ship with bridges connecting to all enemy ships. In a sea battle, the enemy may have 5 defending ship slots. Each Ship can be used 7 times defending until it breaks and you must buy a new one.

To Defend an ocean territory, you must use ships with soldiers on them. There are many types of sea soldiers, and even cannons!

Ships

(Lvl 5)Minnow: Can carry 10 soldiers. 1 Ship slot
Cost: .5 LE
(Lvl 15)Skipper: Can carry 50 soldiers. 1 ship slot
Cost: 1 LE
(Lvl 20)Caravel: Can carry 75 Soldiers and 2 cannons. 1 Ship slot
Cost: 2.5 LE
(Lvl 20)Frigate: Can carry 150 soldiers. 1 Ship slot
Cost: 2.5 LE
(Lvl 30)Destroyer: Can carry 250 soldiers and 5 cannons. 2 Ship Slots
Cost: 5 LE
(lvl 35)Cannon Ship: Can carry 75 Soldiers and 15 Cannons. 3 Ship slots.
Cost: 15 LE
(Lvl 45)Carrier: Can carry 750 Soldiers. 4 Ship Slots.
Cost: 20 LE
(Lvl 50)FlagShip: Can carry 600 soldiers and 20 Cannons. 5 Ship Slots
Cost: 32 LE

Flintlock Sailors shoots a trail of smoke at its enemy.
Cannons shoot a dropped coal block at its enemy.

Ships on land
Ships can also be used for coastal territories or islands.
The Ship will spawn next to the shore with a bridge connecting it to the territory.
However, only 3 ship slots may be used on land.

Ships seem very expensive. Are they like a one time buy thing? If so, decrease prices only a little. If you need to repurchase often, make them a LOT less.

 

Cool idea. I said something similar on the original seaskipper thread.

 

They have a 3 time use, I could increase this, however the prices are very high due to the fact that sailors and cannons are much stronger than the regular guild mobs.

 

Uh huh... they are still extremely over priced.

Can wait to see how Hax has flagships with lv80 cannons on every single piece of the ocean

 

The troops seem fine on price but the ships are way overpriced.

...for a second, this had me excited for something like galleon's graveyard, where you use cannons to defeat the enemy.

this is nice too, i guess.

 

Hmm...I have a bit of a problem with this. While buying troops to guard your territory, you have to be standing in said territory. This means that if this was added, players would sink to the bottom of the ocean while buying troops, due to not swimming.

 

I feel as if that would be much too laggy for this, and hard to implement without completely changing this idea.

Well, maybe if they added some parts of the ocean that you could stand on, like pieces of shipwrecks or tall rocks, then maybe the problem could be fixed.
