World Pls Debuff Poison..

I don't think I need to explain much,
just bring poison make from its state in per-gameplay update.

oh and while you at it, remove the knockback

Poison should just be disabled in the nether
It's good for pve though

 

I guess one could see "debuff" as a more dignified way of saying "nerf", but they mean the same damn thing, so it really doesn't matter.

Anyways, yeah, poison needs a big nerf/debuff/decreasement of quantitative value to it's pre-gameplay update stats, and while they're at it, at least some of poison should be effected by DEF and AGI skill points.

I think everyone kinda has to agree with this there's no argument for poison not being broken.

Agility does effect poison you can dodge the attack that poisons you.

My opinion is that defense should block poison and that poison should only activate from Exploding and Melee, no spells no cactus

 

I agree that poison needs some sort of nerf in pvp. It's not too hard nowadays to crank poison to levels where you can hit someone with any old attack and then drain almost all of your opponent's health over the course of three seconds despite their defensive investments...

BUT!...

I don't think poison deserves to have its gameplay update buff reversed (from a pve perspective). It was buffed because before the update poison was next to useless as a strategy in pve. From my experience even maxed poison items were ludicrously outpaced by regular dps from spells and even melee (basically a ten to one hundred fold difference). Sometimes you could scrape together a few poison items that worked together well and actually did significant damage, but it was still fairly bad until endgame. Before the update the only good poison items imo were cancer and Scorpio...

tl;dr don't just undo the buff poison got because it would be worthless (again) for pve, instead change how it works in pvp because that's where the problem is

Knockback I can agree with. The only other issue is the poison after death. Otherwise its fine.

The problem with poison is that it pierces any kind of defense. Add a new ID for poison gear items, Poison Piercing, and make a full set of the best PP IDs have 60%.

Or any %earth damage items would make it 100% broken.
I mean like, a cancer + a full %earth damage set.
That'd be much more broken.

As for the thread itself, it wasn't very viable the way it was before the buff to poison items. I think it should be debuffed, but not to the point it was before the buff.
