Dungeons Cloudy With A Chance Of Enchanted Baked Goods...

This thought was spawned by my S'more Please Weapon Skin Idea.

Overview: The players are dragged into an exhaustion induced delusion of a magical baker found passed out in her kitchen surrounded by a massive amount of cookies, cakes and candies she was creating to fulfill her promise to [insert local noble/royal's name] to cater their up coming [insert local holiday] party.

The players must magically enter the incapacitated "Baker-Mage's" dreams to help her escape back to the real world so she can stay true to her word and deliver on her promise to provide the [King/Duke/Baron/etc.]'s party guests the most amazing and memorable magically enhanced baked goods. thus, saving her reputation among the local nobility and ensuring the future of her business.

Dungeon Store: Dessert Themed Items!
Weapons for all 4 classes that incorporate food themed elements. Example: the marshmallow roasting fork mod of the trident skin I linked to above.
Other items might include "Cakes" that act as potions (three use, consumable items) that bestow themed effects. Example: Sugary Sugar Cake! Begins with the sugar rush: a speed potion effect that also increases their weapon's speed tier (+1) for a given amount of time. When that time expires, the player suffers the crash: a slowness potion effect that also reduces the attack speed tier by -1 for 25% of the length of the rush.

So TL-DR: A food themed quest/dungeon as an excuse to incorporate some food/candy themed items and potions.

Think not that these ideas are fully formed... They are but embryonic beasts still forming in the mold and mildew infested depths of my noggin. These posts are meant to be part of a brainstorming session including you, Sir One.

Also, I dare not claim any superiority to those on the content team. I am a man of ideas but of little understanding. My desire is to provide seeds of ideas that the content and design teams might plant in the garden they have already created. Thus, they can grow and take shape within the greater context of Wynn and not just a "random weirdness(tm)" shoehorned into their grand storyline.

And, of course, if we flesh the whole thing out here, everyone will know all the secret squirrel stuff making the quest dull and boring to actually play.

wat. going with the peotry? I don't think they'd want anymore work on their hands when they're already working on Corkus and stuff. You're supposed to provide detailed suggestions so every part of your suggestion can be critiqued by. Just 'providing seeds of ideas' won't make the cut. The content team, whenever they do import some suggestions (which will be never), can and will alter parts of a suggestion to suit the game.

Your thinking is good, the suggestions give the content team ideas, but making a half baked idea doesn't give the CT all the perspectives. For example, giving no detail on the plotline of a dungeon would most definitely result in a lot of downvotes, because the Ct will want to know what happens, so they can say, "Yea that's pretty good!" or, "That sucks! No way will this make it in." Will it even make for a enjoyable experience? yada yada yada.

think out ur raw ideas first before putting a thread on there.


Tbh, a cooking adventures sounds boring af, and how the hell would that fit with the story line?

Picture a horde of sugared up gingerbread skinned rage zombies swarming out of a powder sugar blizzard as you try to reach Lord Lemon's Layer Cake Fortress before the timer goes off and the Soufflé of Destiny collapses under its own weight.

This is a freaking dream reality, the possibilities are endless!

If this is what is expected of the posts on this part of the forum, then you are correct that I shouldn't have posted this yet. I was looking for a fun conversation with other silly minded wynncraftians as we brain stormed stupid things. I have no illusions that any of this might be useful to the brains behind the curtain. But if any of us crack a smile due to our exchange, then successful have we been.

ha ha so funny. and who made you a judge of imagination? I was just pointing out, you should add a plot line, what are the dungeon rewards, and all the other possible details that you didn't put. Your little "spoiler" thingie shows promise, but Wynn is mostly serious, and this wouldn't really have a place at all.. unless there's a quest to go along with Shattered Minds.. :)

Wtf i thought this was a joke for a second then I found out it wasn't by reading more then after reading more I found out it was a joke. But yea general suggestions are expected by the community to be well thought out ideas that the community wants to be added into the game, just to give you a heads up. Usually joke suggestions get turned down and flamed really quickly but I legit couldn't tell what this was so.

 

See, thats the beauty of this idea. Its meant to be a serious idea for the game that just happens to be surreal and weird due to the dream world it takes place in.

My hope was that this thread could allow folks to collaborate and flesh this whisp of an idea into something worthy of Wynncraft. But if all that results of this is some mild amusement for some folks, that's a win too.

If this is the wrong venue, I'd have no problem finding it a new home.
