What is Discord? If you ask.
Discord is a IRC application which supports multiple text and voice channels, also packed with multiple features such as:

- Easy Management (Ban, Mute, Invite Link, Permissions, Channel and Users)
- Per-Channel Permissions (Allowing user to read only, require ranks to join channels)
- Can be accessed with mobile application, desktop application or even from browsers.
- Custom Emoticons, even if that is unneeded

Note that the server verification system can be set and because Discord is account-to-join-server based like Minecraft, it does have protection depending on security settings of the server.

Plus it is free.
If there is any question then I will answer it.

Unofficial, we had the debate some time ago and decided on staying with a teamspeak 3 server

 

Oh well, then hope this suggestion is still valid, at least just the text communcating.

 

I like this idea. Discord is slowly overpowering TeamSpeak and Skype in popularity. Even VanossGaming, one of the most popular YouTubers of all time, uses it. Since a bunch of forum users probably have Discord, it would increase audience participation/feedback.

 

Unfortunately, the server will continue to use TeamSpeak for voice communication.

But I still hope they will add Discord for text communication since it does support multiple channels, bot and yet is perfect for large-scale community.

 

Discord is 100x better than teamspeak and is free lol
