New Quest!! God's Word

Hi, it's me Oskhol!
Today I want to show you a suggestion for a new quest that is based at level 93. Let's start!

This is how it looks in the quest book:

God's Word

Difficulty: Hard

Speak with Ladino inside Ahmsord


Stage 1

Dialogue before quest:
[1/2] Ladino: I could use your help, adventurer, but you might not be powerful yet.
[2/2] Ladino: Please return when you are level 93.

Talk to Ladino in Ahmsord.

[1/5] Ladino: Hello adventurer! Would you mind helping me? It's rather urgent.
[2/5] Ladino: You see, I have been researching a temple not so far from here known as the Kato Temple.
[3/5] Ladino: It is located on the biggest of the Sky Islands, just to the north-west of here.
[4/5] Ladino: If you could investigate the temple close up for me I would be very grateful.
[5/5] Ladino: But watch out, I have heard that fierce angels reside there. I have written down the coordinates in your quest book if you need them.

Dialogue after quest:
[1/1] Ladino: I'm awfully sorry that I tried to trick you.

Stage 2

Head to the Kato Temple at [X: 1135 Z: -4771.]

Stage 3

If you try to enter the temple before doing the quest you will be pushed back and a message in the chat will appear saying: This place seems eerie, you probably shouldn't go in here.

Enter the temple.
You fall down into a pool of water in a long corridor with a large door at the end.

Stage 4

Talk to Ilfra in front of the door.
Ifra is an angel.

[1/3] Ifra: Who are you? A soldier from Wynn!? How did you get here?
[2/3] Ifra: Oh, you want to 'investigate' this temple? Reeeally? Well, you'd better get inside.
[3/3] Ifra: Don't just stand here, go on! Our leader may want to speak with you if you really are a Wynn soldier.

Dialogue after quest:
[1/1] Ifra: Oh, it's you again. Don't bother our leader.

Stage 5

Proceed through the door and speak to Jildov.
Angel Leader Jildov is an angel.
There will be angels walking around inside the next room.

[1/4] Angel Leader Jildov: Welcome to our temple, mortal.
[2/4] Angel Leader Jildov: I have been expecting you. How? Oh I know many things. Of course I am not going to tell them to you, mortal.
[3/4] Angel Leader Jildov: You wish to leave? Ha! If you are to leave you have to be tested first.
[4/4] Angel Leader Jildov: You have to speak with our god, Ujira k'Ivanok.

Dialogue after quest:
[1/1] Angel Leader Jildov: What are you doing here? Get out!

Stage 6

The floor underneath you cracks and you fall don onto slime blocks covered with snow.

There is a cutscene where guardian lasers are shot from the corners of the room and gather in the middle, here an angel appears wearing white leather clothes and some sort of head.

[1/3] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: A mortal in my temple? So you wish to speak with me?
[2/3] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: You will have to bring me a special crystal, found inside a maze that I have established here.
[3/3] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: I need it to restore some ancient things that have been disturbed here. Now hurry.
Stage 7

You get teleported to a giant maze. Find the white crystal hidden in the maze.
Inside the maze are varous buttons that will open certain parts of the wall, if you can find them.
To get to the crystal there is a quiz.

Answers: Angel of Vengeance, Angel of Valor, Angel of Battle, Angel of Despair

Angel of Valor.

There will be hostile angels trying to kill you in the maze. These angels have the same stats as other angels in Sky islands.
Exit the maze when you have the crystal.

Stage 8

Speak to Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok.

[1/3] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: Well done, you acctually completed the Angel quiz! Now, what do you want here?
You feel something grasping inside your mind
[2/3] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: That mortal Ladino bribed you to come here? He is a snake in the grass, that Ladino.
[3/3] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: I shall bring him here and let him apologise for his lies. But first you will need to bring me a Devil Tear, I have written the coordinates to find it in your book.

Stage 9

Exit the temple and go to to X: 1365, Z: -4410. (Maybe it is not there but there should be a small staircase leading upwards to a small cave thingy where Spined Devils live. Here you will find the tear.

Stage 10

Go back to Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok.

[1/2] Angel God Ujirak'Ivanok: Good! Good. This tear combined with the crystal will, I think, atleast partly restore the Sky Islands.
[2/2] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: Well, I'll bring Ladino here then.

You get teleported to a room that looks exactly like the last one but with Ujira k'Ivanok standing at the far wall.

There is a cutscene where smoke particles gather in front of you and Ladino appears.

[1/4] Ladino: Alright, I wouldn't reward you at all! I knew of the existance of this cult and wanted to destroy it. Now I shall kill you and be done with this.
[2/4] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: No! No one shall die here. This is not a place for blood to be spilled.
[3/4] Ladino: Well then. What am I supposed to do?
[4/4] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: You shall stay here and help us rebuild the Sky Islands once more.

Stage 11

Talk to Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok

[1/2] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: Well then. You remain. Tell no one of this event and do not return here.
[2/2] Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: Take these as a reward for your bravery, since Ladino would not have rewarded you.
Dialogue after quest:
[1/1]
Angel God Ujira k'Ivanok: Now we can try to rebuild the Sky Islands again.

Concept is not bad, but it feels a little generic with having a boss at the end of the quest, something the content team has been trying to avoid lately with the most recent quests.

 

Alright I changed some of it and now there is no boss.

 

Boring quest. You talk to one NPC go to a place, then talk to a few more NPCs. Add a gimmick, better story, and more things you need to do.

Also in the first paragraph adventurer is spelled incorrectly.

Well what am I supposed to do seeing as the content team don't want there to be bosses at the end!? Huh?

 

Maybe add some puzzles?

 

This is just talking to people in one place, please add more, puzzles, places, mobs, bosses, etc.

 

I added a maze. With some puzzle stuff. Added a Wybel quiz too.

 

The fact that you made this seem so plausible is actually amusing. You could add a gimmick (there is crafting in some quests, solving mysteries, escorting an NPC) and of course there are still puzzles, parkour, and having to actually look for things. Right now, this isn't even a fetch quest, what is most often frowned upon.. It is BELOW that... You don't need to get an item, you don't need to fight anything, you don't need to look for anything, you don't use your brain at all! Get what I am saying? If you don't look at some quests in-game to get a better idea.

 

Difficulty is auto set about the amount of steps, and time in the quest, the owners dont set it themselves.

2 problems:

1: Kato temple is an ANGEL temple
2: wybel quiz

 

Wybel quiz? What does that even have to do with anything? And also, there shouldn't be a new god. One that wants to restore generosity in Gavel? That doesn't really make sense. It doesn't say that it was from any realm, and why do they find it so important that your a human from Fruma? And who is their leader? Is it the god? Or the priest? Oh yeah, he also says

Is this just a trial? Does he need the crystal for something? And in the maze, you just run around pushing buttons, hoping to open atleast some part of the wall. And how is the quest hard? And what happens when you get a question wrong? And again, why wybels?

I mean, I would think that maybe this god has something to do with the elves of Aldorie since they want to make Gavel a better place too, and wind and stuff, but this is just a small cult that Landino wants to destroy. Why? And why does the god make Landino come forth? Because, he said that he would stay there, but also rebuild the generosity in Gavel. And what do you mean Generosity? I thought that GREED and the DECAY were the main problems.

I don't think this is a good quest. It's kind of like another version of EOTS, seeing as the dialauge is really confusing and bad, and the name makes no sense. Oh yeah, it doesn't. So what does this quest have to do with anything? In my opinion, this quest is just bad. I can't really think of how to fix it. Sorry if I was a bit salty- Ezohn

 

I will support this only because we need level 90+ quests.

 

Most people (villagers) in Gavel assume you're a recruit from Wynn. Not Fruma, Wynn.
Also I could see that Wybel quiz triggering a lot of people - there's a lot of... controversy over Wybels.

 

Wybel quiz is just a bad idea, Wybels do nothing ingame currently other then being a mob, and a strong boss (orange wybel) anyways a quiz about something that does nothing with the quest and your just walking back and forth and not fighting anything just talking and threw a "quiz" and a "maze?"

 

OH WOULD EVERYONE JUST STOP HATING ON EVERY SINGLE THING I DO AND STOP MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I'M NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE???!!!!!
