[quest] Playing God [+13]

Pre quest:
Bermiene: I need a volunteer for something, but it seems you're too weak. Come back when you're level 98

Quest:
Bermiene: Ah, speak of the devil!
Bermiene: I need some help with something rather important, if you wouldn't mind taking some time out of your day.
Bermiene: Oh, wait, how rude of me. I'm Bermiene, a researcher out here in Cinfras.
Bermiene: You look pretty strong, I'm going to assume you've had quite a few run-ins with what's known as the decay, no?
Bermiene: Well you're awfully quiet... Anyways, as you can see the decay is closing in on gavels central city. We cannot let that happen.
Bermiene: So, a large group of researchers and I made a plan to combat this.
Bermeine: I'll fill you in on the plans later, but for now I need you to get a few things for me.
Bermeine: Bring me [1 light spore] from the light forest and one [drop of darkness] from deep in the dark forest.

(Light spore: to retrieve the light seed, you will find a cave towards the southern end of the light forest. In this cave you will find five doors and two 9x9 grids. You will find a button, that when pressed will make a random pattern. Behind each door is a button that will open another door and change the color of some of the grid. Your goal is to mimic the pattern on the first grid. Behind door one will be an L shape. Behind door two will be an + shape. Behind door three will be an | shape. Behind door four will be an _ shape, and behind door five will be an . shape. Reset button will be provided. Once completed the floor will collapse taking you down into a cavern with a large mushroom akin to those found in the realm of light. There will be parkour leading to the top of the mushroom. At the top you will find the light spore.)

(Drop of darkness: to retrieve the drop of darkness enter the castle ruins where you will find a portal/teleport thing that takes you to a chamber. The following dialogue will appear:

Upon defeating the mini-boss he will drop the seed of darkness.)

Bermeine: Did you get the artifacts I asked for?
Bermeine: Wonderful. I must take this to the other researchers. If you would like to come along the entrance to the lab is just under the Cinfras airbase.
(Entering the lab you find a large chamber with all sorts of gadgets, lights, bottles, wires, and tubes)
Bermeine: Ah, welcome to our lab!
Bermeine: Sorry I left you waiting, let me explain our plan.
Bermeine: So, we are planning to combine the forces of dark and light. We have done this before, but the reaction was so abrupt we didn't have time to see what was going on. The only thing that we noticed was extreme dimensional instability.
Bermeine: We figured that the mixture we created was purely magical, and had no physical presence. So we're going to give it one.
Bermeine: We have figured out how to fuse
the magic to objects on the physical plain. It has shown immense capability of power and can harness all 5 elements.
Bermeine: Earlier we had another volunteer bring us the body of bob the warrior. I'm sure you've heard of him.
Bermeine: We plan to fuse the magic to the corpse of the strongest warrior known to the five provinces, bob, to create an unstoppable force of nature that we will use to prevent the decay from spreading further.
Bermeine: We have just barely finished the experiment and we're wait-
*Alarm blaring while distant shrieking can be heard*
*Power goes out*
*Lights flicker as Bermeine gets torn apart by the abomination*
[New questbook objective: escape the lab]
(As you wander around the lab you will have to avoid the creature. Different tattered notes can be found throughout the lab, together they read:
"Subject is visually grotesque. Long claws have developed in place of nails and its eyes have completely disappeared. All fat and muscle seemed A to have moved to one of the arms, rest of the body is flesh and bone." Last note will be found with a button that will open the exit. As you make your way back to the main chamber you encounter the beast. The beast makes a deafening scream which blocks off the exit. You are forced to kill the beast, which has the following stats:
HP: 1250000
Attack: 537
Speed: Very fast
Spell: heavy charge
Drops: Beast claw
Throw the beast claw in the hopper in front of the pile of rubble blocking the door, and the rubble will fade away. Upon exiting the lab you will find another researcher with the following dialogue:
Researcher: Oh thank god you made it out alive.
Researcher: I must reward you for your work in slaying that abomination. It was our fault you were put in jeopardy. We should have never played god.)

Yeah I will admit that the last boss is a bit overpowered.

It's nice, though the beginning reminds me of The Light Realm quest, where you have to find those two bosses and get their drops.

 

The taproot quest and the volt goat are no bosses

Yeah I wrote this at like 2 in the morning so I just got lazy with the colors lol.

 

You might want to put [Quest] in the title.

 

I like it! Sounds like fun and it could possibly lead up to more quests I guess if Wynn decides to go past LVL: 101.

 

good quest, maybe tone down the mana regen on the chestplate? seems like it be so good that it would be kind of a meta chestplate.

 

-Half of the thread isn't green (representing dialog)

-Also please separate dialog and use a different color (light green) for the characters speaking, so it can be easier to read

 

I'm aware of how shitty the format is lol. I'll try to fix it later if I have time.

 

Although if you look at what level it is, it kinda makes sense why it could be 3/4 because it's not like you're giving a freshie the chestplate.
