Progression Thoughts On The Current Xp System

I'm going to be in the minority here; I think that the (not so) new XP system is.... Really good.

Hear me out- On the day the gameplay update came out, i started a new class, and went all the way to level 92
I did this a while ago so my memory may not be exact, but i can remember most things.
I've done every quest on that class (Excluding Qira and ???, can't be bothered) and most quest XP was very balanced, there was a a balance of grinding and questing. Most quests would give you around 60-ish% of the quest's level, and then you could grind the 40% rest, or there might be more quests you could do.
Level's 1-45(ish) were easy, since the amount of XP to level wasnt very high. But when you get from around the 50-70 level range, i feel as if that range of quests could be buffed. You have to grind after every quest, and to be honest, most of those quests... aren't the greatest anyways. Most of the quests take place in the Jungle, which you're already spending your time in grinding. At level 70 you get a whole rush of Gavel quests, and you're pretty good from there on. The 50-70 quests that take place in Gavel are ok, but most are just "go here, kill that, give me this"
And yeah. I know theres more 90+ quests in the works, so i wont talk about those.
Having DXP for quests disabled makes quests so much more enjoyable; i found that i do quests for the quests now, not for the XP


Tl;dr The new XP system is well balanced, but i think XP from levels 50-70 should be buffed. Disabling DXP on quests was the right choice.

i agree totally with that...i had to grind every 5 minutes in these levels...

 

Yea the system is fine, with the new update coming plus the new light dungeon, and other quest base dungeons coming out, throw in the huge amount of quest coming out with the story update then boom exp problems are gone for good.

 

Just do dungeons. The updated minidungeons give enough xp until around level 70, when you start getting a lot of quests.
