World Make World Minibosses More Interesting(13 Supporters)

So, i was exploring Eastern Gavel earlier today, and found a path up from the sky islands up to upper molten heights, and up there, there we quite a few Firebird messengers, a few other Firebird themed mobs, and a Firelord, which seemed to just be a random min-ibosses(Like you find all around the world, mostly in caves). I killed him in a few hits, as as most minibosses have their 3 or 4 chests near them, I went looking, and found nothing. Later today, I was just exploring, and thinking about how these minibosses, while cool and unique, are a little weak(Was his lv and killed in a few hits without using weakness) and, mostly pointless. My idea is this: Buff up some of the mini-bosses so they give a challenge, and give unique rewards. for example: the firelord is lv 92 and uses a sword so here is my thoughts on what he could drop

+120 hp regen
+ 15% Fire Defense
- 10% Water Defense

This blade was used by the firelord, who led a army of fire warriors in an attempt to overtake molten heights.

(Stats of this item are pretty unbalanced, Not intended to be added as is)

Also, if this is added, maybe make he minibuses a little more challenging to balance it, at least make them a challenge, sometimes on my archer, I don't even notice i found/killed one.

Tldr: Make world minibosses drop custom items and harder to fight.

Actually, making minibosses drop their own gears seems like a pretty good idea and could lead to some interesting situations, like "minibosses raid" or something.
I can imagine a miniboss like Witherhead but lvl 90+, or cool stuff like that

But, the reward should not be better than those from Boss altars, that would defeat their purpose.

 

I think this is really neat. The death oni on half moon island already drops a unique item, so why not other mobs?

 

i like it. maybe like even sets. like firelord set etc, and the armor could make you look like the miniboss maybe?

 

well not all at once:P like each time you fight the boss u get one of its drops. so u must keep killing it to get all the armor

Death Oni used to be the sole dropper of the Oni Helm, however after Gavel it can now drop from anything around its level, just like an ordinary item.
