it doesn't say bumping is allowed

 

It just says not what to do. Since bumping a thread is not on the post that says what not to do, we all assumed it's allowed... I guess... whatever you do don't tag another mod we already have 2 coming in.. xD

 

It doesn't mean it's allowed.... It's giving examples

 

If bumping wasn't allowed I'm sure half the forum users would get banned.

 

Okay so I'm no rocket scientist but this can pose some issues potentially, and just causes confusion. Lets say someone has done a few things wrong that they are banned for. Those extra characters can remove space for: Duping, Hacking, Hate Speech, Harassment, etc., should the message take up that much room. Sure many ban appeals are for just one thing, but do we really need to make mods post an incredibly specific link each time?

And on the subject of bumping, @EmoOfGrian it is allowed to bump a thread if you're the poster/co-poster of a thread.

Bumping is a confusing and admittedly complicated thing, but generally a bump is made by the OP if their thread is still relevant, and they feel it deserves further attention.
