Changes To The Heal Ability

    Right now, the community views Heal as OP. It can bring people around the mage to full health in the blink of an eye, and greatly heal the mage as well! In both PVP and PVE, Mages are extremely hard to kill if they're spamming Heal. They can tank way too much damage. Heal can allow them to easily solo bosses that other classes would have much more trouble with.

    So, I propose these changes:

    Heal no longer heals so much for allies.
    This makes mages in parties way too strong. I propose that it heals the same amount that it would give to the mage themselves.

    Heal gives more health; however, it is divided evenly among the three pulses.
    Simply nerfing heal would throw it straight into the ground. As of now, the first pulse of the heal is strong, then the subsequent pulses are extremely weak. Divide the total amount of healing that should be done equally among every pulse! Increase the base amount of healing to, say, 80% to make up for this, because otherwise this makes heal too unreliable.

    Here comes the big one...

    Heal is cancelled upon being attacked.
    Simple. Yeah, no more tanking for you, mages. Healing can still be used supportively, and still give a moderate amount of health if you're in a pinch, but it can't save you from 3000 qira drones surrounding you. Nope.

    Please Note that most of this only applies to the third tier of heal.

    And all of you Mage mains know Mage is too op and don't hate this guy for what he is saying. Also, heal getting canceled when you get hit is a great idea. Escape gets canceled, charge gets canceked, and vanish gets canceled. Tp and heal don't so why does Mage have that advantage?

    Joking but these nerfs are way to harsh if heal is cancelled upon attack then it doesn't need to be split evenly and so on. I say yes to the first two nerfs but no to the second

    It's technically a buff because I want to increase base healing along with all these changes.

    Hmm... The ally heal part isn't a good idea, as mage's usefulness in parties stems completely from the part that it's 2x more efficient than health potions (which have caused me death because they didn't regen me health fast enough). Besides if you're fighting, say, Qira, who does an average of 3250 damage, and an ally drops to 1,000 (where he'll die in 1 more hit, even potentially from a drone), you may not be able to heal fast enough, especially when it's divided among pulses.

    The mage's mana would be drained, so he can't heal fast himself before he gets attacked, as mages have no defense whatsoever, and the health pots won't always do enough...

    I believe that heal shouldn't be cancelled when hit, but maybe nerfed? like the heal is cut in half or a third?

    Dividing the heal among the pulses sounds good and getting hit cancelling it is a good way to weaken a mage. It becomes a battle of attrition if continuously attacked.
    (keep attacking, can't heal forever.)
    (Multi-hits/arrowstorms would rekt mages)

    Um this is somewhat... It changes the play style of many mages, who would not be happy, as many many players own high level mages or rely on other mages.

    Evenly distributed, most likely no because that would be a direct nerf as many rely on the quick, unreliable healing.

    Heal is cancelled. I support, but then there is garenteed to have a counter argument. If someone hits a warrior, does it cancel charge? If someone hits a archer from distance, does it end arrow sheild? If someone hits a mage, does it end meteor?
    One major counter argument I am sure will come up.
    If one spell can be stopped by attacking source, then shouldn't all spells behave the same?

    Healing is based on the mage's health and not a case by case basis.
    I thought this is how the game worked, that the amount of healing a mage gets is the same healing as everyone else gets.

    I don't really agree with this.
    All of the classes are strong in thier own way. The only reason mages are strong is that it is the only well rounded class in Wynncraft, while having a very important uniqueness of having the only heal skill in the game.

    So you don't mention Archer's Arrow Bomb? You do realize Mages are weak as fuck, Heal is there to help them survive. Nobody would win in PvP.

    And my opinion on this:
    1) No, parties NEED support. What is not needed is the huge advantage you give yourself.
    2) Uh, sure.
    3) No. If I heal, I want to get health. It may take longer, but I will get the health I'm supposed to.

    And what are mages gonna do when they need Health and are in battle? Any attack would cancel Heal and mess everything up. Then it also means in Boss Fights, if we get attacked once, Heal doesn't activate. What are you gonna do in the Wybel and Qira fights?

    The reason why your thread got hate is because all those reason are complete horse crap. "No other class has a healing ability", we mages have two offensive spells one of which is extremely weak so basically one. That logic is flawed.

    The "Instant Health" part makes little sense too. We are fragile in 1v1 combat, two or three shots and you die, it's not hard to dodge Meteor it's not like Arrow Bomb which merks everything and explodes 3 times.

    "Hundreds of emeralds", you gotta be joking about that. Most characters never use pots, I barely use them on my other classes. And what is like 2EB to a level 100 character? You can get that within 3 minutes of grinding at Freezing Heights or a 2 minute loot run, you could probably get that in a Tier III Loot Chest to be honest.

    Why is that fourth reason there? Warriors soaring at 19230913 km/s and Archers flying into the stratosphere?

    If attacking a Mage would block their heal, faster weapons would have some sort of advantage over slower ones and heal would be useless in boss fights and PvP
