World Ideas For Fixing Frozen Heights

Frozen Heights, we all love it, its has some of the best experience and loot drops in the game. Its also undisputedly the best grinding spot in the game. Many players grind for hours here in the hopes of leveling up. With all that being said; here are a few changes id like to see made to frozen heights.

1.Remove snail armor: pretty simple suggestion right? Id like to see this armor either removed or change the area where you can find it. At the moment its a semi common drop from the freezing stone golems and the frosted guardians. Also along with them dropping two to three junk items, it fills up your inventory pretty fast.

2.Removing/Changing Ice dragonlings: these dragons can kill unexperienced players pretty easily. Not only does their arrow storm do a considerable amount of damage, the arrow storm can kill the other mobs at FH. Id like to see this arrow storm either nerfed, or swapped with a completely different spell, possibly charge or multihit.

3.Make Dogovi more useful: At the moment dogovi has no purpose. It is one out of the three towns in gavel with no use; the others being Bucie and Lexdale. That being said both Bucie and lexdale are tied into quests, dogovi however is completely useless. All it has is a Potion Merchant and a identifier. What makes dogovi such a missed opportunity is that its the closest city to Frozen Heights, beating rodoroc by a few hundred blocks. I would fix Dogovi by giving it an item buyer at least.

4.REMOVE ANTIPODES: These things are really annoying, anyone that grinds at frozen heights can tell you that. They serve no purpose other than to kill frozen stone golems and possibly you. Not to mention their flamethrower spell is really pointless. I find that it does little damage to players, and that Freezing stone golems take absolutely no damage from it. They should either be removed or completely reworked from scratch.

Frozen heights has come a long way since the initial gavel update. Fire Elementals were removed. Frozen hearts (a junk item) were trashed. And the mobs now drop a satisfactory amount of loot and XP. unless a new grinding spot comes out in the future.. Frozen heights has a warm place in my heart. :D

 

I have no problem with antipodes, but other than that I agree.

 

-Snail Armor is a drop from any mob around that level. We can't really change that.

-None of the enemies in the Molten Heights at all have Arrow Storm.

-Antipodes are easily killed and spawn rarely anyway.

-It's Freezing Heights, not Frozen Heights.

 

1) just throw the armor away.

2) they make you be careful and not shoot blindly at everything.

3) dogovi has some secrets and im willing to bet its gonna get a couple quests in the bext updates.

4) antipodes are a surprise mob that forces you to change your strat (switching to a water weapon) and focusing your attacks on it instead of on the other mobs.

 

correction: antipodes are free xp as they barely ever attack you and have 0hp

 

Ice dragonlings are endgame mobs from an endgame area, so one strong mob is reasonable imo. Also, I do agree that the cities should be more useful, but most of them are just tiny villages, thus not having the amenities and things like that of a major village.
