    So as most of you know, villagers are not allowed in Eltom, since they would tell the authorities. However, THE ITEM BUYERS, IDENTIFIERS, AND OTHER MERCHANTS ARE ALL VILLAGERS! This does not go with the lore, so I suggest we change the villagers to humans. I know this is possible since the pirate island bankers are pirate skinned humans.

    In the Gameplay Update we got a new feature for merchants, which allow as to make them look like other entities, not just villagers.
    We obviously already though about what you suggested, so we wanted to do the same with IDers, Item Buyers, Powder Masters, etc... But Jumla said it's too much work to do it for this update.
    Maybe in the future we'll get it...

    I still don't think this is as bad as the merchants in the hidden goblin city being villagers.

    Well the answer is quite simple really. Eltom is an anagram of Lotem. Now you may be asking "This makes no sense" but on the contrary it does. If there are villagers in Eltom is because Lotem wanted them there. It's his town so he decides what species are allowed in there. Isn't that right
