Droped Items Despawn To Fast

Okay, so pretty much just find some way to lengthen the despawn time for items.
Right now it despawns in like 30 seconds which is redeculas!
I was in the bow relic room (wont say location) and i died so i ran back and went in and there was nothing,
this has happened many different times. I am not trying to complain for the loss of items, I am saying this for the sake of the others and the server in general. It should at least be remotely possible to get items back after death. Especially with the new soul point system

 

It's not an issue with Item Despawn times, it's an issue with death.

I'm not entirely sure why, but in most cases, when you die your items are deleted. It's possibly because most of the time you'll respawn in a different location from before, which means the death chunks are unloaded.

 

Okay, but thats why i said "find some way to lengthen the despawn time" i didnt just mean make them stay there longer i meant to keep them loaded and such.
And yes i know its not that easy but there has to be some way to fix this

 

Hang on, so you want them to keep the chunks loaded??? So basically this is an add lag thread. There are many ways to fix this, and many of those ways are easy. Its just a question of whether or not its worth it. Keeping the chunks loaded if they have items in it brings up a multitude of problems. Firstly, more server lag as the server has to constantly load these chunks and items. Second, exploits. There was a glitch where a player could toss out an untradeable item, unload the chunk, and then a second player could come in and pick it up.

 

Hmm good point. im ot claiming to know the best soulition, the reason I made this is to find possible solution(s)

I honestly don't understand why you went exploring and shit with less than 2 soul points. ITS NOT THAT HARD TO KEEP YOUR ITEMS FOR FUCKS SAKE
