Hello! I just finished WynnExcavation Site A, and a big thing I noticed were the difficulty of the first two puzzles. I think I was just bad at the second one, but the first is extremely obscure; I only beat it by watching a YouTube video. First of all, you have to know that you have to throw an emerald on these easy-to-miss holes on the corners of a specific room marked with a diamond (the tomb has a lot of places to look in), and I'm pretty sure it has to be an emerald (the tablet doesn't mention anything about emeralds). Then, to know which is the right one:
-3 of the holes are marked with birch wood
-The other is marked with oak wood.
The tablet told me to look for the "wood that sticks out", so I was looking for a monument or something special made out of wood. What should I have been looking for? A discoloration on the wall. WTF?
I have a few possible suggestions for improving this puzzle:
-First, make the tablet text more descriptive. It could mention the walls, or the room with the diamond in the center.
-You could make the wood literally "stick out" since it's a bit easier to spot asymmetrical form than color. Also, if you're uninterested in changing the tablet text, this would make it fit in more.
-When you enter the room with the holes, have a pressure plate leading to a command block to /say a clue about how they're in the right place or something.
    Those are my suggestions.

One more thing: Is it possible to update your quest book once you pick up the crystal? After I killed the undead Pharaoh boss with ~300 mouse clicks and got its drop, the quest book still said "Search the Tombs" instead of "Return to Vade"

It does stick out though, oak and birch are very different colors, and if you find the puzzles in this hard, good luck in Gavel and with the rest of Wynnex, where you often just get told "solve the puzzle" "escape the prison" with no other explanation

Er, I spotted it no problem the first time (The open room with the diamond block in the middle was obvious to me). And besides, how would it make sense to make a treasure easy to find just from translating it? And yeah there's more "difficult" puzzles as said above.
There should be an Edit Thread button near the top of the Thread.

If you couldn't figure out that the wood that "sticks out" is the one that's different, you really do need to go learn some more mannerisms and sayings.

    *cough*
You’ll be searching a forsaken land
And you won’t be far from fate’s hand
But you must not give up hope just yet
You might find a home despite the threat
A village destroyed tells you to go west
Come now, why don’t you take a rest?

Ya, One of the first quests when you get to Gavel 'the heart of llvinger' Pretty much gives you a puzzle / Room and the book says 'Get into the Machine' or 'turn on the power' And another quest, 'Clearing the camps' says 'Bring Tim, Clyde, And Bills's heads to Capt. kaymore (I don't remember the exact names) And you half to find the camps.

Wynncavation A takes a little time, But there is also a clue in the room already if you try to step onto the diamond block before the quest, you get a message. I found the wood fairly quickly, my only trouble with it was finding all the Journal enteys.

And from what I understand, Gavel Is very Puzzle basses (Correct me if I'm wrong).
