World Bored Of Grinding? How About Some Teambased Combat(5 Supporters)

As a level 60 Mage player, I already start to feel bored of grinding. Tired of kiting a big swarm of mobs over and over and over. The bosses were too easy after been defeated tens and hundreds of time. I can't imaging how bored those top level players are when grinding towards level 101. When I went to the nether to duel someone, no one is there. So, here I am to give some ideas to improve all that.

The duel is too short and hard to find an opponent. So why not make some team based games in nether.

Game Mode

• Capturing the flag
  • A new map with two points to capture and one team needs to defend the point while the second team needs to capture it. Each point has a tower in the middle with redstone laps from the bottom to the top. When at least one capturing team player stands within 5 blocks range of the tower, the capturing process will start (Maybe with the particle effect when end crystal heals the ender dragon) when all the laps on the tower are light up, the point is captured. The defense team can stop the capturing process by also standing within the 5 block range of the tower or push the capturing team off the range.
  • Players can respawn when die, but the game will end in 7 min. (When game is too long, the players tend to loose patient)

• • Mode 1
    • Same level combat. 12 players within 10 levels range can start a new game.
  • Mode 2
    • Low level players capture, high level players defend. 10 low level player try to capture the points while two 30 level higher players try to defend the points.

• Pushing the cart
  • A new map with a rail and a mine cart. Player needs to push the cart the way in vanilla minecraft. When the cart arrive its destination, the offense team win, else the defense team win. The defense team can also push the cart, so if the cart is moving, send an archer to stand against the cart or push it back, it helps XD. Also the last bit of rail is uphill, so if the offense team can't send the cart all the way to the top, it will slid right off.
  • Players can respawn when die, but the game will end in 7 min.

• • Mode 1
    • Same level combat. 12 players within 10 levels range can start a new game.
  • Mode 2
    • High level player push, low level player defend. 10 low level player try to defend while two 30 level higher players try to push the cart. It won't be fair if the low level players are pushing.

Reward
The reward of playing is xp! 3% xp of the average level of all the players will be the reward for the winning team, 1% for the loosing team. For example, if a team of six level 30 players win the game, their average level is 30 and 3% xp of level 30 will be the reward.
Maybe also some special currency that can enable player to buy some special emotes.
10% xp is definitely a very small amount compares to the quest reward, but it's much higher compares to grinding, especially for higher level player. This multiplayer combat should be part of the wynncraft game experience and even enchanting it instead of completely replace it.

Balancing issues

• Can't use any item other than your current weapon and gear, though you can still change class.
• Can't bring any potion or use any potion, but there will be health and mana potion spawn randomly on the field.

Update
Version1.1 --- Lower down the xp reward to 3% for winning team and 1% for loosing team.

Afterthought
Imaging the picture of the game, meteors rain on the battle field while knights charge forward. Archers fire arrows while Ninja sneaks in and assassinate his target. So epic!!! I even get goose bumps when I wrote this. Leave a like or vote in the poll to make it happens.

Why not? Because this isn't a PvP server. It's an RPG.


If you're tired of grinding at level 60, maybe you should just stop there, 'cause it only gets worse.

And yet there are still guild system implement in the game. The nether and duel are still exist. PvP do exist on the server, it just not very successful, while I'm trying to improve it.
I already said in the post, this multiplayer system should only be part of the game without overshadowing the RPG aspect of the game. People still need to do the quests if they want to progress faster.

I understand quests give quite a lot of xp, and it will be even higher after the gameplay update, at least for normal players. But for people who are playing different classes, they need to complete the quest again and again, it's another kind of grinding. This team based mode just adds some new flavor to the game. When people are a bit tired of killing mobs and doing quest, they switch to this team based combat game to get excited again.

 

Please, no. These are literally FPS gamemodes in Minecraft and we're not making Wynncraft a minigames/FPS server, thank you very much.

We may have PvP, but those are just small things to appeal to the PvP audience that Wynn has.

 

What do guilds have to do with pvp? Plus like Nemrekt said.

You mean the only PvP audience that haven't leave Wynn yet.

First, I refuse to accept Wynncraft = First person shooter. Second, I'm not making Wynncraft a FPS server. I'm adding some elements to the game that make the player to play together more often.
Third, team based combat may become the key concept in the future in Wynncraft.

As Tantalus announced for the Corkus Update, players can join the side of undead. I wonder what can each side of players do to each other.
I guess when different sides players meet, PvP will be enabled.

 

i like the idea,but i hate shooters,and we already had something like this(wizard fortress,i wish it could get back ;-; i like it)

 

This is like turning wynncraft into a overwatch type fps game. The modes are a bit much to, not taking lore into consideration etheir. Also you won't be bored of grinding for very long as in the new update the xp system is being revamped with new dungeons as well.
