Togglable Damage Indicators

    So, you know whenever you hit a enemy with a weapon, an invisible armour stand will pop up with the name
    -146
    or something like that?
    Well whenever someone is using Infinity or something with all elements on it (Relic Bow etc.) and they use arrow storm, or just hit fast in general, it spawns A LOT of entities, I know for me personally, one of my guild members has a Infinity, and whenever he uses arrow storm, my frames drop so low I basically freeze. So my suggestion is to make these damage indicators togglable so that people with not as good computers such as myself and others will be able to participate in wars with people that use these kinds of weapons.

    Y'Know, this isn't such a bad idea. The damage indicators are really just cosmetic to show you how much you're doing of what damage, and you don't especially need them as they can cause problems such as the one provided; framerate losses. You have my support!

    But why?! I want to continue spam my arrow storm and make everyone drop their framrate all the way down to 0 so they crash!

    This won't help as it will still spawn the stands for other people.

    Well no it just won't render them for your own player but it will for other people, i'm sure coding team will be able to fix that.

    it seems like that would cause an issue with the lag such as with attacking a large group of mobs. how about having the damage indicator showing up in chat its its toggle able that seems like a better option.

    what do you mean it would cause lag? It would make it so that armour stands don't register for yourself causing less lag

    That idea is great as it would let more people play wynn(when i use arrow storm with my maelstrom i drop to 5 fps from 80,but i think the blood particles is related with that)

    oh i thought it was sending in a armor stand above the mob that you are doing damage too thus since more entitys more lag.

    entities don't server lag (if that's what you mean) in gavel anymore

    but they cant using server code. If they use a mod, maybe, but not with server code. Trust me, i know how to code.

    I think they can make it happen.... They can make custom spells and other shit... I think they can do anything with plugins

    Lag is caused when you dont have enough ram. Lets say you run a gb long line of code. You just ate a gig off of your ram for the amount of time the code is being ran. Samething here. With all the code running whenever people should have seen a tag will also cause lag. And its alot of code running since we have alot of players.

    Thats one way lag is caused, Yes I don't have enough Ram (4 GB if you're wondering) but if they didn't spawn as many entities for yourself as they did before it would also decrease lag rather than me you know HAVING TO GET MORE RAM loljk

    I have 1 gig of ram and I dont have bad lag 0_0

    But then, or course, I have half of the programs that are suppose to run off just to free my ram.

    there's also the problem where it spawns in front of you and sometimes end up hitting the armor stand. instead of the monster.
