Ever farm for a piece of gear for hours on end, only to find that you rolled the worst stats possible on it? Well have I got a suggestion for you!

What if a quest was added to the game - The Unfortunate Weapon - in which the player is sent on a journey to find a pair of twin weapons. The weapons were once considered extremely powerful - to the point in which they were separated and sealed away. One lies in Wynn, and the other in Gavel. Upon discovering the weapons, the player finds that these weapons have deteriorated throughout the years, and have deteriorated since their prime. However, legend tells of a fabled blacksmith able to breathe life back into equipment. However, he requires the original material of the gear to be able to reforge it. Thus, when the player eventually finds the blacksmith and brings both weapons, he is able to restore the weapon to its original glory.

Upon completion of the quest, the player would be able to bring any pair of identified equipment, as long as they share a name, to receive a single piece of the equipment, reverted to its unidentified state.

    Edit:
The quest would probably begin in a bar (I'm pretty sure there's one in Troms?)

Inside the bar would be a new NPC - Ol' Drunk Konner

He's known to be the town drunk. Though the Konner name was once well known throughout Wynn for producing two of the greatest knights who wielded a pair of legendary weapons, its legacy has since been forgotten.

Upon talking to him for the first time, he tells you that his family passed down a story of twin weapons ( the weapon depends on the class the player is playing as), and it was tradition within the family to pass on the story to the children once they came of age. However, as the family name was slowly forgotten, the chance that a newer generation would come to be dwindled with each coming generation. Konner, having no wife or offspring, wishes to pass on the story. However, nobody ever believed him, as he was known for making things up as the town drunk, which created a vicious cycle that drove him deeper and deeper into drunkenness. He knew the only way to restore his family name was to prove the existence of the twin blades. He then recites the tale:

A legend tells of a pair of twins

One in Gavel, the other is Wynn's

The duo, deemed too dangerous to wield

Inside a tomb, each weapon was sealed

In enough time, the seals will break

One on a peak and one in a lake

    Reunite them and restore honor

To the bloodline of the great Konner

The player must then find one of the two weapons, one found in Mt. Wynn, and the other in Lake Gylia. Each of the weapons would be found in a relic shrine.
After bringing one of the weapons back to Konner, he's devastated. He was so close to validation, but just couldn't cross the finish line.
He exclaims that he was once friends with a legendary blacksmith, but has long since forgotten where the blacksmith resides due to his drinking habits.

Luckily for the player, there's only one blacksmith that exists in the world: the one from the Bob's Lost Soul quest.

Once the player brings both weapons to the blacksmith, and tells him of Konner, the blacksmith will tell the player that he's happy to help Konner, and any friends of his. However, the original material used in creating the legendary weapon cannot be reproduced, so he needs more of the material to repair the weapon. The player then must retrieve the remaining weapon.

The blacksmith will then give the player an unidentified version of the original weapon. The player must identify the weapon, and return to Konner.

Konner rejoices, but decides that the validation is enough. He lets you keep the weapon, as it would probably be too dangerous for him to handle anyways.

Hmm... Can you add more detail?

Explain the quest a little more. Although the general concept seems good, you need to go in-depth on details. Who starts the quest? Whats the plot? How does it end?

He doesn't want to design the quest. He just wants the Reroll.

This doesn't look as bad as you say.

Say, I have 2 Bad wolf with bad XP. I can try to combine them to get a better one. If I get a worse one, then rip, if I get a better one, yay happy.
But, I could have sold 2 bad wolf for a better price than just one bad wolf.

This doesn't look really bad, maybe I didn't understood the suggestion though.
But also, he's new, don't be too harsh on him ;D
