Website & Forums List Of Commonly Repeated Suggestions

This is just a small thing that I hope will help prevent repeated suggestions. I'd like there to be a list pinned at the top of the General Suggestions section that states all of the "suggestions" that get repeated, or just won't be added, with a little detail on why. Prime Examples are:
Reduce Lag
Buff Assassin/Nerf Mage
More Ways to Earn GC
More Spell Combos
No Mana Loss When Sprinting
Future Provinces
Etc.
Feel free to add on or whatever. I just think this would help even a tiny bit to help prevent more of these. Thanks

making a list and pinning it wont help, new people don't look at pinned threads.
also it won't be right to shut down ideas, all the things that you listed are things Wynn can use and just need a bit of refining to be implemented.

if someone posted a suggestion for reducing lag but he would suggest a better code for spells or horses that would actually reduce lag. we won't see it if we implement the list.
also the useless suggestions have an entertainment value.

 

I actually want to point out that practically any suggestion about reducing lag, no matter how detailed, is pointless. Aside from things like suggesting a way to turn certain particle effects off (which can be done globally via minecraft settings, though I understand why more granular control might be wanted), it is impossible to pinpoint what exactly causes lag (as in server performance or network performance drops, not client performance drops) without access to our code and (usually) profiling data.

Fun fact: very rarely you might see a server with a strange number (ie WC99). We sometimes spin up servers like that manually with a special build that allows us to track what parts of the running code are taking up more time than others. Unfortunately, this is not perfect and isn't the be-all and end-all solution for fixing performance issues.

It may not, but I'm positive it will have some kind of effect, thinning them out at the least. I've seen a couple threads that start off "I'm not sure if anyone else said this, but..." My main point is a thread listing the things that are obviously not going to be done; rather, the complaint-type suggestions. Like redx said, there isn't anything refining can do to reduce lag. And I can see where you're coming from. There were a couple race suggestions awhile back, and they were 1-2 sentences (at most). I refined the idea, then expanded on other possibilities from it (shameless link in sig.) I'm really just sick and tired of seeing a new thread every other day that says "Dont make running cost mana", "Earn GC ingame", etc. The things that just won't happen. Those can't be refined, no matter how hard you try. Sorry

 

so they wont check your thread just like they don't check any other thread.
what you are saying is that you want refined ideas, banning some ideas wont help.
I also like the entertainment value of those posts

 

If they're not sure, they can check the obviously named "List Of Things That Will Not Be Added" at the top of the section. Best name I could come up with .3.
I don't what to see those being refined. I don't want to see them filling up this section. When I joined, I was marveled at all the cool things people came up with. And now, most of them don't contain HALF of the details or creativity the others did. They're really just stupid.
To me, they're annoying. I don't get how anyone is entertained by them, but idk.

 

it would be like the "stuck?" thread, it would get ignored.
you joined 2 months ago, I'm here since January 2015 and I can tell the quality of threads didn't drop since then, this section is still full of shitty ideas.

 

Ok, I didn't know that. I didn't see any that first week or so I joined. So help me out here; is there any way to get those threads more noticeable, or just clicked on?

 

It's a little harder than just "reducing the lag" you have to th nk of how many checks the code is doing, it's checking if players are around for the hundreds of mob spawns every x amount of seconds so mobs don't spawn in chunks that have no players, I would imagine it quite hard to pinpoint what exactly is causing lag, since Jumla posted that Wynncraft is running over 40k+ lines back in 2014 I think it was (or 15) and it's probably double or triple that, of course I don't know how it works but that's my best guess ;D RESPECT THE CODE OR THE CODE ISN'T GOING TO RESPECT YOU
