World Cleanse Merchant

    Just a random thought, so excuse the lack of detail.

    There could be Cleanse Merchants scattered across major cities, their stall could consist of many Cauldrons and Armor Stands holding weapons and wearing armor. A bit of water drip particles would look even better.

    Players may have the Cleanse Merchant to 'clean' one item at a time, which completely clears its identifications and powder slots, reverting it back to an unidentified item (however the lore indicates that it has been cleansed # times).

    The pricing could be as follows:

    Cost = ( 10 * ( level of item ) * ( tier multiplier ) ) * ( ( number of times cleansed ) + 1 ) emeralds

    Tier multipliers:

    Normal - 1
    Unique - 3
    Set - 9
    Rare - 27
    Legendary - 81
    Mythic - 243

    This means that if the same item is cleansed multiple times, the price increases dramatically.

    For example:

    Cleansing the level 88 Legendary Spear - Tisaun's Proof for the first time:

    Cost = ( 10 * 88 * 81 ) * ( 0 + 1 ) emeralds = 71280 or 17.4 LE

    Cleansing the level 98 Mythic Bow - Spring for the second time:

    Cost = ( 10 * 98 * 243 ) * ( 1 + 1 ) emeralds = 476280 or 116.3 LE

    Not only does this give players a chance to re-identify precious items, it also prevents their overuse for godlike identifications (trying to cleanse Spring for the 5th time will result in a cost of 290.7LE, or 872.1LE (13.6 stacks of LE) if you include the cost for all previous cleanses).

    Furthermore, this is a good way to drain money out of the damaged economy: the rich not yet poor can take the gamble and spend money to re-identify their items while the poor not yet rich can sit back and laugh as the rich blow away stacks upon stacks of LE. It's like horse-breeding.

    As a side note, the number of cleanse should be stored on each individual item's NBT tag, so they carry over even if traded. It should also be displayed in the lore since people would care about the number of times it has been cleansed.

    This is actually a good idea, since nowadays what used to be a good item can have such bad identifications that would make it unwearable. Also this would help with the Wynncraft inflation, since a person would have a chance to get good ids, increasing the number of good items on the market, which would deflate the prices. On the other hand the high cost of the cleasing would stop people from constantly (abusing) using it, and have all items with great ids, which would reduce the difficulty of the game.

    I thought normal weapons dont have IDs

    Great idea, I personally wouldn't use it too much as I don't have money but it would be a nice feature.

    Some normal items have powder slots and this is meant to clear both ids and powders.

    The thing is if people did that it would take a shit ton of money out of the economy making items cheaper for the"Poor" players.
    Also when you cleanse you're risking the chance of getting worse Id's.

    I'm saying it's a good way to dump money out of the economy. I was also saying the rich people probably wouldn't cleanse something until they get something good because of the risk and cost.

    One of the problems with the Wynncraft trade community is that they only want the "top" Id's, and not the "simply good".
    You can have a high poison Jester Bracelet, yet even though its good, they only want the best.
