Enhanced Brewing, A New Use For Skillpoints

    Enhanced Brewing ¿¿

    First off, what is it?
    "Enhanced Brewing" will allow you to invest skillpoints into abilities to enhance your potions effects. Further explenation will follow in this thread!

    "Enhanced Brewing" will be accesable in your compass menu. It would look like this:

    As you see the symbol will be a brewing stand with the titel "Enhanced Brewing".
    ("Enhanced Brewing" will be activated with Lv. 60, maybe with a quest)

    Clicking the renamed brewing stand will open a new chest/window/whatever you want to call it. It would look like this:

    As you see we have 5 different options to enhance our potions, each will require 10 skillpoints to be activated so you could theorethicaly invest 50 skillpoints to have each ability:

    1st: Ep bottle => healing potion effects will last another 3 seconds longer, mana regen potions another 7 seconds longer and skillpoint potions another 10 seconds longer
    2d: emerald => you will be able to find any type of potions in loot chests with a 5% Chance
    3d: nether star => potions that have not been fully consumed will fully regenerate each day just like soulpoints
    4th: golden sword => potions you consume will give you a +10% damage boost (meele and spell)
    5th: beacon => every player 10 blocks around you will get 1/2 the Duration of the potion effect you consumed

    I never use potions... so it wouldn't really affect me...
    I rely on health regen/mana regen IDs

    but i guess sure... I'm sort of in the 3/5 to 4/5 range
    I would prefer something that affects everyone, not jut a consumable

    Thanks for the reply, but you should not forget that it is your decision if you want to invest your skillpoints into elements or into some potion enhancements. Furthermore there are people with negative health regen or people with no manaregen (I am one of them) who really need potions for a bossfight or even to regen health after beeing swarmed.

    I feel like 10 skillpoints each is a little much. That's five levels. 25 If you want all of them. Maybe lower it a bit? It seems pretty expensive when you could use them for getting the element bonuses and meeting gear requirements.

    I will think about it, but when I decide to change it, what do you think would be a good amount? Basicly I am Very unsure just because most people Probably dont need every ability and when people just choose 1-2 abilities then they only need 10-20 sp

    I think this would be too little just considering that these abilities are very useful when used correctly.

    Five would be one every three levels. That could actually be a lot for a level sixty got who's also trying to make a decent build. I think it's ok, but it's your thread.

    I wish to point out how underpowered the first perk is, and then the 5th perk then becomes quite powerful. Maybe balance it a bit? Support anyway.

    Do you mean underpowered? I personally think that the first is one of the strongest and the last one is only useful if you play with teammates

    The first perk basically doubles the healing you recieve from pots, which is massive

    why dont you have it so that there are 10 perks, and that you unlock one every 10 levels.
    So level 11, 21... all the way to 101
    just make it balanced
