A New Type Of Quest

For people who are done with all the quests and are starting to get bored with Wynncraft, this idea is for you.


This is like a quest, but harder, and longer. It would be called a story. You start off somewhere, anywhere. From there, you talk to someone, and the story begins. You, as the main character in the story, have to solve puzzles and go into places in Wynncraft that you just thought was for decoration. You start to learn more backstory of Wynncraft. You fight monsters that you never would've thought were possible. It's a story, not a quest. And in the end, you get access somewhere or you get some type of reward. Or, you get no reward, just the ending of the story.

There it is. I just thought of this idea because people who finished all of the quests were probably bored, and I felt bad for them. What do you think?

 

Would there be some cutscenes? Like you just sit back and watch these characters like in Memory Paranoia.

I kinda see the point in your suggestion. It is supposed to be the "For Real Actual End Game Quest which will answer every question ever".

Here is the problem. Wynncraft is an MMORPG that gets constant updates. With that comes more content, more stories. So you can't just put a final, for real this time, actual ending to it, because there will always be more content in the future after that. Maybe when all the devs decide to focus on something else other than Wynncraft, but I doubt that will happen (Since it's an MMORPG. Stopping development will slowly, or quickly, result in it's death).

Here is an example of what I mean.

Before the Gavel Update, the end game quests were meant to be Reincarnation and Temple of the Legends. In both quests you need to go back to places you have already been to before and retrieve items from past quests. In both of those quests, you receive what was meant to be the endgame stuff.

Temple of the Legends

The Final boss is the Corrupter of Worlds (CoW, for short).
From Temple of the Legends, you gain access the Temple of the Legends. This place is designed for endgame training and a place where only the elite players stay.

Reincarnation

The Final boss is Bob
From Reincarnation, you get the Bob's Weapons. This was meant to be THE endgame weapon.

Later on the Wynnter Update rolled out in December of 2014. This was supposedly an additional endgame quest! This was the Tower of Ascension It was a quest that you sort of complete along in your journey. It had 7 floors. Each floor was filled with mobs from lvl 40 to lvl 110 (Level cap was still 75 though) and the level would rise the higher up you went.

The Final boss is Death.
From the Tower of Ascension, you get the Champion Armor. This was to be THE endgame armor.

But then, a year later, the Gavel Update came out. This raised the level cap to 100 and add a crapton of quests! This basically defeated the purpose of all the rewards you get from the quests mentioned above! While they were helpful and powerful, there were no longer the strongest items. Now there is the Qira's Hive which is essentially the Tower of Ascension but on STEROIDS. And there is the Fantastic Voyage which has DOUBLE the stages of that of Temple of the Legends (ToL had 13 stages, Fantastic Voyage has 26). They have also added Mythic Weapons which were rarer, and meant to be stronger than the usual legendary (not replacing them, but still is more 'endgame-y' than legendaries).

Plus, we already have an overarching storyline for Wynncraft, Wynn Excavation, which is a storyline that unfolds as you progress.

So what's to conclude from all this?

1) We already have endgame quests.
2) A true, actual, for real, final, end game quest would be hard to do on an MMORPG.

It's so creative and original! We should totally add it.

In my opinion we should call those stories: "Quests".

Maybe you can also have a list of some sort, of all the stories there are on the game? We can call it a "Quest Book".

Yay, sure we should add quests with story and puzzles and all that stuff. Let's call it quests and put them everywhere on the map. And let's also add some mystery quests which you need to find by yourself.

 

Why didn't I think of this? It just like quests, but exactly the same thing. Wait, they ARE quests.

 

......... WOW!!! perhaps we should make a server with these and call it Wynncraft!! It could be a MMORPG with quests and monsters!!!
