    This is more of a programming suggestion rather than a design suggestion, but it benefits everyone and is easy to implement.

    The Problem
    Most of us know the frustration and confusion that comes with dying in one place and respawning literally on the other side of the map. There is of course a reason for this. Basically, in some quests you get teleported to an off-map area (which has to be in a place where there is no plans for expanding the map). This is sometimes nowhere near the area in which the player is supposed to believe they are in. This means that if you die, you respawn in the nearest respawn area which may be in another town or even province.
    Fortunately, there is an extremely easy solution for this.

    The Problem (tl;dr version) - Quests TP you to places outside the map. If they are near a city far away from where you think you are, you spawn there (e.g. other side of the ocean). There is an easy fix.

    The Solution
    The best solution I can think of are respawn-overriding zones. When you die, the server goes through a list/array of these zones (which consist of a position, a range and a respawn position) and checks for the nearest one. If the distance from you to that zone is within its range, it simply respawns you at the co-ordinates specified by that zone.

    The Solution (tl;dr version) - When you die and are within a respawn-zone's range, you respawn at the co-ordinates specified by said zone.

    The Details
    The zones are stored in a separate file (YML or XML or whatever fits best) and are structured like so (with the YML/XML/Whatever Syntax, of course):

    Zones {
    Zone Name
    {
    PosX PosY PosZ
    Range (Radius not diameter)
    RespPosX RespPosY RespPosZ
    }
    }
    e.g.
    Zones {
    Z_WynnExC_01
    {
    12345 20 54321
    50
    -1094 64 -3733
    }
    }
    (Co-ords of the zone and the Y-coord of the respawn area are made up) The above would spawn you here.

    I have no idea if this was suggested yet, please tell me if it was. Vote in the poll if you like it or not so I know does it suck or what. Lastly, if you think anything should be changed, tell me! Thanks :)
