Toggle Resource Pack Prompt

I'm guessing there are at least a few others who have the resource pack actually installed so they don't have the 3 second or so load time each time you join a server. Even if you have it installed there, it still bugs you in the chat to install the resource pack from the server. If you aren't playing with the resource pack, you probably know because you're probably attacking with some kind of stairs or slabs. I think the annoying message in the chat telling you to install the pack should have a toggle in the /toggle menu.

 

There IS a toggle but it's for the automatic installing, if you toggle it off (Minecraft Main Menu, Multiplayer, Edit, Server Resource Packs: Prompt/Disable) you'd have to manually download the resourcepack to use it at all or if you have it set to Prompt it'll still slow you down but not as much.

 

That's what I've done, I am suggesting a toggle for the message that keeps popping up in the chat telling you to install the resource pack, not the resource pack itself.

 

Just either ignore the message or toggle chat off (Options, Settings, Multiplayer Settings, Chat, Commands Only) WARNING: If you toggle chat you'll be unable to chat to others without toggling it back, I suggest toggling it, killing a few mobs then toggling it back so the message is out of the chat, if the message keeps appearing then again just ignore it as there's nothing you can do about it besides blocking the console which wouldn't be advised.

 

In my case, I used to be able to download the resource pack from the server, but that stopped working one day, so I moved the resource pack into my normal resource pack folder. This means I'm using the pack, but the server doesn't know that and it barrages me with messages. +1 supporter

 

Problem is it doesnt let me PLAY when i do that. It leaves me in the void until i quit.

I find it odd that people think 3 seconds of load time is an actual issue in a game.

 

Sometimes you have to log out in a dangerous area like the qira hive or ToA. in those 3 seconds while logging back in, you get killed.

 

Then don't use autojoin. Or log out in a safe place. To be honest I use autojoin myself and I've never had an issue like this.

 

First of all the resource pack is made for the weapons to look how they are without it you would use a piece of carpet to fight or something this is why you cant toggle the pack. There are alot of these threads but you guys must remember that the weapons you are using are a piece of block or some sort so if you want to toggle the pack your going to fight with a block like i said

 

the problem is:
-A lot of weapons are slab or other item
-"My slab fire arrow pewpewpew" 2.0

Also creates rpg atmosfera

 

You don't understand what I'm suggesting. I know the resource pack is required to play, and I do play with it on. I have it actually installed in the resource pack folder to avoid the load time it takes when you log in. As a result, the chat is spammed with something telling me to install the resource pack. I am suggesting a toggle for the message.

 

Did it ever occur to you all that resource pack downloading for servers is BUGGY? Some people have tried everything and it just won't load, so they moved it to their resource packs folder and turned it on so they could actually play the game, but the server THINKS they don't have the pack so it constantly spams them! Toggling the alert would be perfect for people with this problem.

That and it technically allows us to use our old textures again, alongside the ones that were added for the Wynncraft game itself.

I didn't download it from the interwebz... Like I said it had worked before so I moved it to diff. folder
