Please Disable Need To Use The Resource Pack

you have a choice, either play with this texture pack or don't. there isn't another texture pack, if you want another one that will take some time to make.

 

Maybe it should work like this:
Since some people can't load the pack on their own, or enjoy their own packs, and instead rely on extracting legacy.zip & disabling server resource packs, maybe the alert should only go off once, or it can be toggled to not spam the chat.

That shouldn't be so hard, right?

 

A way to do it is do /toggle auto join and disable server resource packs.

 

You are forced to use it because Wynncraft would look extremely bad otherwise. Do we want new players to go onto Wynncraft for the first time and see everything looks really bad? There's a reason Wynncraft has a huge build team, to make it look good. With your idea, it looks bad.

Imagine what @Moe_Ronickah said. You have a mythic weapon (about 7/50,000 chance of dropping from a level 60+ mob) and you log on without the resource pack. You'll see a random Brick block in your inventory and be like "Hey, what's this for?" and you'll throw it into lava. Then, the next day, you log on and can't find your mythic. then you realize your mistake.


That's why you should always use forced texture packs.

 

The new users can be told to use the pack if they please, and if they choose not to, and they suffer any consequences, that'd be due to their CHOICE. Also, it shows what the item is when you hover over it, so, it wouldn't be too hard not to do that, if you were aware of the possibility/paying attention :P

What we're all saying is, would you like to have a spear/dagger/wand/bow that looks like a block and not a weapon? There's a reason it forces the texture pack. My brother's game glitches and doesn't let him use the pack, trust me, it's the Nether inside-out.

Why are there resource packs in MC? Is it so that someone, like a server owner, maybe, can create a visually unique world? Why not let everyone decide what rules they want to play WynnCraft by? Why not allow hackers to do whatever they want? We can go on ad infinitum with these questions, but it gets boring after a while, and, frankly, it's ridiculous.

The official resource pack exists. The pack has unique visual items in it and many of the original MC items have been altered to fit the WynnCraft world. The owners have chosen to make the resource pack mostly required, so that the game makes sense, visually. They do not have to allow anyone to play WynnCraft who is not using the official resource pack, any more than I have to stand by and watch a child run across a street, waiting for them to learn their lesson.

The original request/question has been answered enough times, already.

In light of the fact that WynnCraft utilizes a highly modified resource pack such that many items would look nothing like their in-game purpose, in light of the fact that after players toss out many items that would look useless, however, were not, and would be requesting, loudly, a refund or free replacement, in light of the fact that WynnCraft is visually built around the resource pack, if it were up to me, I would tell you, "No." I wouldn't want the problems that will arise if players are allowed to use anything other than the official WynnCraft resource pack.

 

You can just simply issue a warning stating that Wynncraft is not responsible for any problems that may arise should a player refuse to use the texture pack. People who ignore this, and individually choose to attempt gameplay without the pack could deal with the consequences themselves. Obviously, this is nothing like watching a child IN REAL LIFE get run over, this is a game. People who try to get refunds or anything else due to their own decisions, in ignoring the resource pack, can just be turned away.

 

Imagine a new player who decides to start without resources pack ...

well i don't know what you done but a friend of mine is able to play with out the online resurcepack i just ripped the resurcepack out of my ".minecraft" folder and uploaded it for her then she just used this resurcepack as a local pack and so she could use the pack while beeing able to play with her crappy internet connection with out playing a ugly game with stairs and sh*t as weapons.

 

What I'd like is to have my favourite resource pack on but the weapons are the same.
