World Joining Friend

you should add an option to join a friend,

tho if it has already been added can u just add it to the /friend list thing because it will be easy to join ur friends game there

 

what do you mean by join your friend?
do you mean adding them to the list?
seeing which server their on?
teleporting to them?

 

This has no detail, plus it shows what game your friend is on on your list, all you have to do is /server, also there is a /find command to find someone.

This needs more detail and more thought.

 

if you mean what I think you mean, then there is already a way to see where your friend is.

If you mean to be able to see what server your friends are at, that already exists: tab in a server. And if you ment that you'd be able to teleport to that person, that would be wayyy too op, or at least kind of game-breaking. Say you have to get through somewhere for a quest, you just have to get your high level friend get there and you just teleport. That'd ruin a lot of quests, wouldn't it?

 

I think he means going to the lobby a friend is on, via command, without having to manually go to hub and choose it.

just instantly joins whatever world they are on.

Say, you are in Troms on world 14
Your friend, Example_123 joins world 7
/friend world Example_123
you teleport to Troms in world 7

 

I'm level one in detlas, my friend is in ahmsord, I do /friend world friendo. look at me cutting out all the exploration between those two points.
by adding this command you are getting rid of all the exploration that makes this rpg so wonderful.

 

So basically, "I have this friend who is really good so now I can just skip the entire bloody world that totally didn't take 3 years to build"

 

No! Not this at all! You teleport to where you are, you just join their world! How hard is it to understand!

 

If you didn't read fully what he said, he NEVER said teleport to the location of the friend. The world of which they are in, your friend is in 3, you're in 4. Use the command, you're now in that server. I am not at all agreeing or disagreeing with the idea just stating obvious of which was said.

 

oh, I seem to have misread. I thought the first Troms he said was Detlas. Sorry about that.

However, in this case, it's just useless. Instead of this:

1. TAB
2. Check Friend's server
3. /hub
4. Select friend's server

 

but what if u dont wanna go to the hub tho?

 

What's the problem with the hub...?

 

when i go to the hub, it undownload the server texturepack and when i rejoin the game it takes a bit for it to redownload it, and just makes me sitting here saying "i hate my life" XD

 

Uh... no it doesn't...

/hub in a server doesn't unload the pack
