World How To Nerf The Heal Spell On Mage

    please guys , NOTE that this is a suggestion if the staff team needs help with nerfing heal , as salted said he wants to nerf it but its hard since it still needs to be useful
    ok now to the suggestion :
    when you have more than 70%+ of your health and you use heal it will heal you up by 10% and will cost a basic amount of 5 mana
    when you have 50%-69%% of your health it will heal you by 25% of your health and will cost a basic amount of 7 mana
    when you have 20-49%% of your health it will heal by 40% of your health and will cost a masic amount of 8 mana
    when you have 1%-19% it will heal you by 50% of you health and will cost a basic amount of 10 mana (please note that if you have intl it will reduce it)

    if you have a friend near you than he will be healed according to his own health it wont take extra mana from you

    now what this system would do is make sure mages dont spam heal when they are nearly on full to never lose any hp but actually use it when they are pretty low and heal most of their health up at a high mana cost
    it will also make using heal require more skill and not just spamming it

    Makes sense! Healing a small cut takes a little energy, where healing a lot takes more!

    That... Is not a great idea. Making the mana cost change at any time is bad, but having it insanely high when the player needs it most is insane. Just have the heal total up to 25-30% of max hp and heave it constantly heal that much.

    Also have you played Mage? Spamming heal is a terrible idea with the class. You only want to cast it occasionally when you're at about half. Personally if I hit half I drop heal Ice snake heal and hope my mama regen kicks in.

    my mage is lvl 52 and i what i usually do is spam heal and it works great

    The mage is different from all the other classes. Usually spamming bomb arrow or smoke bomb is effective in other classes, but not Mage. Frankly I'm surprised you got that far; It's always really risky to spam spells as a Mage, even if it's heal, as you deal the lowest base damage and mana is your main source of power.

    Smoke bombs dont stack so its not worth spamming
    Also i have a water build meaning i can spam like 3 heals and still have enough for a meteor while getting that mana regen super fast

    Maybe change it to that:

    TL;DR
    I just changed numbers of mana cost
    Before: you have low hp: 10 mana
    You have lots of hp: 5
    After: you have low hp: 5
    You have lots of hp:10

    i did read it, but you forgot to add spell upgrades, the upgrade 1, upgrade 2, and upgrade 3.

    I commend you OP, this is actually a nice idea since healing with like 2 hearts left is abysmal, although it may need a few tweaks here and there.

    lol when i played m******* my class was up for an entire year than it was buffed and nerfed again in less than a month

    I'm sorry but no. Changing the mana cost for a spell is rarely a good idea. Seriously what's wrong with just setting heal to heal 25-30% of your maximum hp, so it has a constant heal, but doesn't heal as much as it does when one is at half hp? It's simpler, easier for new players to understand, and will be easier to implement.
