I notice that in multiple other RPG's, pets play a much more significant role. They are more like companions, and they fight for you. I suggest that there be a pet merchant that sells pets that are based on different elements, and do damage specific to that element. For example, an ice pet (wolf?) would do water damage, whereas a fire pet (blaze?) would do -you guessed it- fire damage. Merchants could be placed in Troms, Llevigar, and Cinfras. Each merchant sells 5 pets (one for each element) for a certain level. Since pets should be focused more towards higher levels (grinding gets too redundant after level 60+), the first and lowest tier merchant should be placed in Troms, selling Tier 1 level 50 pets. Well, I just hopped onto Tiers and Levels, didn't I. Well, unlock horses, Tiers cannot be attained by breeding. The only way to "rank-up your pet would be to give it to the pet merchant with a certain amount of emeralds and receive a level one Tier 2 Pet of the same type. Moving on the lvls, there are 5 levels for each tier, increasing damage and health. Pretty straightforward. Lastly, I want to address the issue of respawning. It would be a waste of money to buy another pet every time it dies, so here's my alternative: If a pet dies, it despawns and ,ust be given a revive potion that can be bought from the pet merchant. (Kinda basing this off pokemon :) ). This potion revives the pet at full health, and has 5 uses. The implementation of this new pet system will make builds more fun and have more variety and unique skills. I would love to see this in Wynn.

Since this system will no doubt be very complex in its final version, I suggest there be a quest at lvl 50 centered in the jungle village that introduces pets and the whole system. The Jungle Village makes sense since it has the most variety of mobs around the area

Theres a lot of work to be done with pets, so I invite all the comments and tweaks and suggestions. Hopefully, some version of this will be implemented. I'll end with my list of Pets and their stats ( I made the health pretty op because pets dying isn't supposed to be that common. Basically it should last as long as you do. The dmg and health amounts I am writing are just basic recomendations on where to start. As the pets progress through tiers and lvls, of course they can have an increase in dmg and health to keep up with the mobs they fight.)
    Tier 1: (Llevigar)
Earth: Rabbits, slow attack speed, 45-70 Earth Damage, 15-25 Neutral Damage. Health: 2500 (Dmg and Health Increase as it lvls up. The amount is up to the developers)
Thunder: Eye of Ender (Item), Super Fast attack speed, 20-35 Thunder Damage, 15-25 Neutral. Health: 2000 (Maybe it could shoot particles at the enemy, indicating mini thunder bolts? Also it should hover a bit)
Water: Squid, Fast attack speed, 25-40 Water Damage, 20-30 Neutral. Health: 3000(Shoots ink sacs at enemy?)
Fire: Magma Cube, Very Slow attack speed, 65-85 Fire Damage, 35-50 Neutral. Health: 4000
Air: Chicken, Very Fast attack speed, 20-35 Air Damage, 15-25 Neutral. Health: 3500
    Tier 2: (Cinfras)
    Earth: Golems
Thunder: Nagas (Maybe with Yellow dyed armor to distinguish it from the mobs around Olux)
    Water: Snowman (Shoots snowballs)
    Fire: Goblin
    Air: Bat
(All the attack speeds stay the same throughout all tiers, but damage and health will get increased as the mobs lvl up and go up a tier)
    Tier 3: (Rodoroc)
Earth: Jungle Warrior( Zombie with throwing spears)
Thunder: Ender Lord (Enderman with crown)
Water: Siren (Skeleton with player head that looks like a siren (mythical creature) and has blue dyed leather armor. Has music particles coming from its head and slows enemies. Does melee)
Fire: Blaze Knight (Blaze with floating sword in front of it. Does melee)
Air: Awakened Spirit (Floating Wither Skull)

This is a really good idea but if you think about you did it for 55+ which would make it unfair for players under 55 so you should rethink it to suit low level players and high level players such as each main city such as Detlas so newer players can get them.

I actually did this on purpose. Grian himself has noted that, at the higher levels, wynncraft can get WAAAAY to grindy. It takes about 4-6 hours to grind one lvl at lvl 60+ Having pets will make grinding quicker and a bit different for the standard spamming of spells.

Okay you have your point if Grian stated that I will accept this I agree with this now.

Cool idea, but I think, this is my suggestion, that there should be pets that aren't the mobs you normally attack. Great idea, I would still like the mob idea, it's just at a later version of this system, they can add other pets.

    Knew that was coming.
Remember that update, a few months ago, where they added 7 level 60 or so quests? I know they don't insta-level you, but they have made grinding a lot less time-consuming for me.

On a serious note, I would like it if pets could serve a role besides cosmetics, but WC would have to:
    • Make pets available to everyone (EULA),
    • Keep pets for donors only (NON-EULA).
The reason I bring up the EULA is, well, see for yourself: http://www.minecraftforum.net/news/60322-eula-enforcement-underway.

True, i myself have a 64 mage, but i still have to grind occasionally. But the point is pets can add a very unique sense of variety and fun into the game. This also makes the whole idea of builds more prominent for the Wynn players that insist on having pregavel playstyles (even though builds were around before gavel)

    1) Llevigar is a lower level than Troms, so it should not have a higher tier

    2) Some of these might not work. Like the ender lord and blaze knight. You would need re-skinned zombies or something, cuz you can not give an enderman a "crown" (what item would even be used for the crown). And having the blaze mob and the sword stay together is a problem on its own

    Bebinson and Stycore like this.

Make it start in Cinfras; It's not too bad 50-60, but starts getting real tedious after 75. You could go Cinfras-Rodoroc-Ahmsord, Cinfras-Thesead-Ahmsord, or Cinfras-Thesead-Rodoroc.

Thanks for the ideas. I made the tier 1 shop in Llevigar, so the whole pet system will be based in Gavel. Also, I thought about raising the minimum but I can't think of a lvl 60 city to have the tier 1 shop in (If it starts in Cinfras, then tier 2 would be in Rodoroc and then no more major cities to do tier 3. Plus Cinfras isn't exactly lvl 60)
