How Do I Play Wynncraft?

hello i was trying to play wynncarft on 1.9 but it wouldn't let me play so i logged on on 1.8.9 and it still wouldn't work is the server being updated and can somebody plese explain why i can't play wynncraft thanks!

 

try restarting minecraft or your computer it also might be your connection and wynncraft is 1.8.9 and under not 1.9 that just got realsed today
