Website & Forums Lock All Threads That Are A Month Old?

So back before the day when Jumla spilled his coffee, all threads that were a month old and had not been commented on for a month were closed automatically. Now, I don't see why this wasn't added again, it worked pretty well. But now, threads have to be found and reported and closed manually, and a lot of people seem to be getting frustrated with necroposting. It would save time to just have threads closed automatically, and it would clear up what exactly counts as a major necropost.

Sorry if this seemed short or mini-modish but I really don't see why this simple and handy feature wasn't added again. Feel free to vote in the poll.

Well I would like the good threads staying.... and I would not want to recreate my threads every few months

 

The thing is, you could always bump your threads every few weeks or so.

 

5 can be a few, which is over a month....

 

What @WithTheFish is suggesting is that to "Lock All Threads That Are A Month Old" that haven't been bumped, for the misunderstood, this was how it worked on the forums before the wipe, except it was 25 days.

 

I've been locking any necroposts I spot. I msg'd Tama about the problem - he's turning the "lock if no responses for a month" thing on, but I assume we're going to have to wait a while for it to activate on threads with no responses for a month.

 

Ehh but this is annoying for smaller shop makers that run of out stock and have to spend awhile to restock. Guild thread used purely for recruiting purposes would also experience perhaps a month or so of no posting because the guild is full or players are just not interested in guilds at the moment because of guild bugs. I believe that a month may be too short as I consider a month to really be a grey area for necroposting. Perhaps 2 months would be more appropriate as this is when most players can agree that a thread is undeniably dead.

 

Yet you don't message Tama to get your name on the staff list?

Have you tried turning the green corner thing off and on?
