Plz Buff The Assassin Class!

Assassin was not nerfed... you need to play like an assassin, not just run into everything and hit it like pre-gavel

 

Umm, it's seriously not true... but, whatever, believe what you want to believe. Cause I'm not arguing anymore, you believe what you want to believe, but I have all the facts to prove that I'm right, and I have been able to disprove the majority of your facts. Also, your 12 friends, what they say, are just kind of opinions. Yes the class was nerfed damage wise, but not really with the spells. Just don't say that it's fact when really it isn't... all of you guys just can't see the fact in what I'm saying. -.-

 

IMO it's better the way it is now. I just suspect you aren't used to it, as Hoke said. Before (from what I recall), you used to murder every fucking thing in sight, and that's not what an assassin does. It's supposed to sneak around, going invisible, murdering things when they least expect it, instead of doing a warrior's job and just killing everything in sight. It's kind of like. However, I'd say that when you vanish, the mana drains too fucking quickly. Like what fuck mate. I can't even sprint using vanish, and assassins are supposed to be quick, fast, and stealthy, not slow and stealthy. Well that's my personal opinion an assassins.

Old Assassin: "FUCKING KILL"
New Assassin: "I'm an actual assassin, besides the fact that I'm fucking slow."

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that the faster mana drain with vanish is new, but correct me if I'm wrong.

The mana drain thing is faster now, but that's because the max mana is 20, which still. But, I kinda like the mana drain, cause then we aren't all just spamming spells either.

 

I don't mean the mana drain for assassin in general, I mean specifically for the vanish spell. Sorry for the confusion :P

Now that I say that, I realise/realize that mana should be different from hunger/the ability to sprint. Can confirm that this is now the thing I dislike most about Wynncraft.

 

yes assassin can be really strong
but still with this flaw, the class system is not balance

Hey there, the owner of this thread! didn't expect this many comments on here xD

anyway, in my view you seem really good at assassin, especially the new one, i know you already told some of it, but do u have any tips for me being fairly new to assassin? like could u explain a tad more how you think the assassin class should be played now?

From my understanding you gotta play him more cautiously and be smart about when to engage and be ready to just burst out all of ur abilities

Well, really you just have to be quick, and don't really just go up close, keep moving, but don't act like a warrior, when mana is down, then walk away from enemies, if the enemies are fast, then don't use spells, and vanish, get a little bit of distance, then get out and do multihit, or something.

Also, would u prefer the assassin build (like going for crit damage, or dexterity etc) shown in that video? right now I'm thinking about going full crit damage and then go partly defensive and partly mana reduction

 

What I did with my build (shown in that video) is mainly agility, and dexterity.

 

this is legit not possible
and with clock boots also lowering spell and melee damage by 40%
i can see 2 options -
1) your build is bad and you have shit defense against thunder/air/water
2) you are lying

 

Well, it's interesting, and should be possible.
Also disclaimer: I messed up the values before, his multihit dealt 20-21k, not 27k. This is because I forgot the Mage's natural 80% defense value, which would make my normal defense 50% damage blocked, rather than 30%.
Anyways, a good clock boot has -21% spell and melee by the way, I've never seen 40% in my life. Also, just in case you don't know (some people don't idk why) attack speed multiplies spell damage, with a 3.5x multiplier for super fast attack speed.
Also, raw spell applies after spell %, which is actually a good thing in this case, as it means that the raw spell isn't affected by the negative 21%. However, I'm going to do more testing and make sure that it wasn't just a glitch.

 

Personally, when I found I couldn't use the new assassin correctly I took up a lvl 20-something knight and just got it to lvl 60 today, I started on like Saturday ot Sunday last week. I plan on going back and learning the new assassin, but the warrior fits my play style better. The lesson is, if you can't make a class work for you, then start up a new with a class you can make work, it's not hard with all the new quests. Assassin can be really good if used correctly, but the only thing that bothers me about it is the vanish perk that means no mama regen, I personally feel that just needs to be rebalanced to work better with the new system. Other wise make assassin work or make another class

Build info:
The assassin is meant to be a DPS class that hides and then does massive DPS and goes back again, this is evident in the items as everyone has realitivly lower damage as the attack speed goes up.

 

I totally agree, but how can it be improved? That's what we want to hear :D

 

I actually think it's completely fine now. It just seems as if Assassin depends more on its build than other classes, but that's just my opinion.
