World Powder Replacement, Crystals!

    A few discussions talking about the weapon elements sparked this thread, tell me what you think.
    This is my first post as well, so I hope you take that into account.


    Instead of powders, which has been disabled currently, it would be replaced with crystals. The crystals come in all the elements. There would be a new NPC which attaches and/or infuses the crystal into your weapon, this is how it would work for all the classes.

    [ I'm using mage as an example, lets say the staff used has the exact same value, dmg and stuff ]
    Attaching a crystal to a staff: [ 100E ]
    The staff would have a protrusion to show that the crystal has been attached, and should have a buff for that specific element, doing more damage.
    Infusing a crystal to a staff: [ 150E ]
    The staff would be enchanted and have a slightly better buff for that specific element, doing more damage and increasing a few stats.
    Empty staff: [ Can be bought from a weapon merchant ]
    This staff has a very low base damage, however you can attach a crystal to the tip, then infuse multiple other crystals into it for an exponential price.
    Empty staff: [ Attaching and Infusing ]
    You have to attach a crystal to it to denote the staff's base element, then you are able to infuse the staff multiple times.

    The rarer the weapon, more crystals can be attached and/or infused into it.
    The higher the level of weapons, the more expensive the attachment and infusion will be.
    The higher the level where the empty staff is bought from, the higher the base damage, more crystals can be attached and then infused onto it, as well as the exponential increase in the infusion price.

    Couldn't we wait until the new powders are actually out? They are being worked on right now and it would kinda suck if that was scrapped and replaced with something without is even being able to try out the new system.
    And even so, what about Powder Relics? How would they work?

    This is just a suggestion if they need any more ideas. :) And true it would suck if it was scrapped mid-project, I wouldn't like that if I was one of the devs.

    I hate to say it, but this seems a lot like what it feels the powder system that is being made will be. I always suspected with the slots that powders would effect IDs, and this just sort of feels like a Reskin of the old version :/

    Not trying to rain on your parade. Content is content, and this was well thought out content.

    Side note: there is this thing called dark theme. Colors like Black that appear standard are next to unreadable on this version of the website. I recommend changing those to the "none" color.

    Thanks for your reply, I kinda made this idea to fit the existing version because I didn't really want them to scrap all their hard work if they take any inspiration from this.
    This is meant to be an addition, a mod you could say. :)
