World A Small Change And An Extra Tier.

I think it would be cool with another item tier, that is not better than mythic, but between mythic and legendary. The new tier could be called: "Epic", with same color as mythics, but mythics got red tags, instead of the purple one.

So basically, you looked at the fact that Hypixel had Epic weapons, wanted Wynncraft to have them, saw that mythics were alreadt purple, and want Wynncraft to change mythics to red just because you liked it somewhere else? Well, I don't think Wynncraft needs another tier. I mean, you have normal for the really bad items with no ids, unique for fairly common items with ids, rares for decent ids and are slightly uncommon, legendaries for very good ids but also a few bad ones and set items to make people have to choose between a build where all their items go towards a few which are powerful but eat up their item spaces or one which doesn't and possibly isn't as powerful. Seriously, Wynncraft doesn't need another tier. 6 is enough.

 

Personally, I don't think we need another item tier. Legendaries can be good also.

However, if this were added I would suggest picking a different name, and changing the color to &9.

 

Examples? we already have enough tiers, plus they would have to modify alot of items, and even great some more... ;-; and since when was "epic" better then "legendary" if you ask me, epic is between legendary and rare

Yes, and they use epic weapons in some games with purple text. Either you copied that idea, or somehow you are yet another person who has done exactly the same without knowing.

 

There are a lot of games that did the epic tag before hypixel...
Don't limit it to hypixel just because it had it and it's popular, the epic purple tag is pretty widespread

 

Ik, but quite often someone is playing on a popular server, a friend tells them about something like Wynncraft and they want that server to have everything that the popular server has/be owned by the popular server just because they like the server's ideas and want them to be the same as the other one but with the extra things which make it good. Maybe not in the case of this thread, but I've seen this plenty of times before.

 

I don't think we need a new tier..
if a tier between legendary and mythic was added, well.
We'd have normal items, which would remain quite useless.
Unique items would remain the same as well to be honest, not awesome, but not awful either.
Same with rare ones, pretty decent at times. If you can't acquire legendaries. But with the addition of a tier higher than legendary, legendaries would become more common, thus making rares as uncommon to use as uniques. What's the point in having 3 item tiers when most people would just skip them and use legendaries, if not "Epics". :P
I'm not gonna say anything about mythics since you said they'd be better than the new tier.

Now, if a new tier of that sort was added, AND legendary item rarity was NOT reduced, then would it really be worth grinding for it?
I mean, we have decent to amazing builds with legendary items, and if you manage to get your hands on a mythic item, GG. But the whole addition of new items causes more builds to be created. With the current build diversity though, new builds wouldn't be worth the grinding time. I might be wrong though, who knows? :P

 

Hypixel might have the same, but I came up with that myself. I just think purple fits the name Epic.

That's the thing. imagine adding ANOTHER tier of items. even more existing items would become useless.

 

On average, every wynn player has less than .01 mythics at this point and keep in mind that mythics were so rare that they shouldnt even have been discovered yet

 

Meh is a state of not caring, while nah is a statement of disagreement

Honestly legendaries aren't too rare and mythics are very rare but we don't need another. It just seems like you would be overdoing it.

 

Maybe instead of this, there could be a special 'Epic' drop you can get which gives special abilities to your weapons? IE Spell boosts, Jump boosts, Resistance, etc... This would automatically turn any weapon Epic. However, Mythics should have their own, unique abilities unlike anything else.
