Concept: Ultimate Weapons

I was really excited when Mythics came out. Like hey! A whole new tier thats gonna be super powerful and super rare!

Yah, no. They are not super rare. Like they are hard to find, but they are ALL OVER the trade market. Like come on, thats not rare.

So. To suggest re-working mythics would be stupid, so I am doing the next best thing. A new tier!

Yes we just go Mythics, but hear me out.

So lets call them UWs. Ultimate Weapons.

There is no multi-element UWs. There are 20 in all. ONLY 20! Meaning they will be hella rare.

Now, what's so good about them?

Well you know how I said 20? Thats 5 per class. 1 per element. They are 100% elemental. They don't have fancy names. Just like Ultimate Fire Bow. Or Ultimate Earth Daggers. They each have their own custom model (thats 20 new models) and have super high neutral damage and damage for their element. And get this, they don't have IDs.

Wait what? No IDs! What kind of crazyness is this!

The reason they don't have IDs is because they each have a special new slightly OP effect. Now these are not meant to be something normal, but a full out brand new effect for each one. Here are the different effects I am thinking of:

Thunder:

Bow: Shoots lightning.

Spear: Chains damage to near by enemies

Wand: Stuns opponent

Dagger: Critical hits do 5x damage

Fire:

Bow: Arrows light enemies on fire

Spear: Lights enemies on fire

Wand: Normal attack is replaced with flame-thrower type attack

Dagger: Slashes with fire, basically causing the main attack to be ranged

Earth:

Bow: Shoots in a shotgun type attack

Spear: AOE attack

Wand: Poisons Enemies (With no timer. Just poisoned until killed)

Dagger: Slows enemies (Same manner as above)

Water:

Bow: All arrows explode into a AOE explosion made of bubbles

Spear: Counter attacks if you hit the enemy at the same time they hit you

Wand: Causes enemies to take drowning damage

Dagger: All attacks have >100% health steal

Air:

Bow: Shoots arrows in a machine-gun type way

Spear: Hella ton of knock back

Wand: Shoots tornado type attack, dealing damage while enemies are caught in it

Dagger: Armor/Elemental Defense Piercing

As always, they MUST have lore to the item. I am not going to go into depth on each one's lore, but they WILL have lore.

So, yeah! These are supposed to be super rare. Like 1/5000000000 (One in five billion) or lower.

So yeah! I know its a bit far fetched, but just think of it. Super hella rare weapons that all have special abilities and custom models.

 

(And original ultimate weapon which deal 1-3 damages)

 

Naw, that one is special. Its way better than anything you see here. Much more powerful

That's like the chances of finding 100% fuel efficient and renewable energy.

 

Exactly. I want this to be like Mama Zomble. Something that you can not try to get on purpose, you just stumble upon my accident.

 

They're all over the trade market because of the chance reduction they receive from all the players. They have a higher than 1/1000000 chance to drop, but lets say it's actually 1/1000000. For one player, they'd need to get 1000000 drops in order to get a mythic. However, due to the sheer amount of drops being gained by the masses of people, this chance is severely reduced. Mythics are very rare, but the chances of 1 Person finding it in a huge playerbase is very high.

Also, I don't think I'm going to grind out 5 Billion mobs to get some daggers with high life-steal.

 

Like I said, You are not supposed to. They are not supposed to be something you purposely grind for. They supposed to be something that you just happen to get.

Plus, they are not just Daggers with life steal. They are one of the rarest, most damage dealing daggers to exist.

 

People have ground for Mythics, and we know how rare those are. Throw these into the mix and I can assure you, at least one person is going to grind for them.

 

This is a great idea :D I would like to see this in Wynncraft. But I think 1 in 5 billion is a bit extreme :/

 

Maybe not the name "Ultimate Weapon", because people could confuse it with Dodegar's.

 

This looks pretty interesting....I got suspicious to the drop rate of the mythic when my friend found 6 in 1 Month......But he wouldn't get any of these, at least for 6 months....right....?

Yes. Because you can not specifically try to get these, it's like trying to hunt for Mama Zomble.

So yes, it's not something every player will end up getting

Definitively best weapons in each element kinda take away from the whole goal of variety with equipment. Because once you get one of these Ultimate Weapons, it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll use it unless you need a neutral weapon. Also, as seen with mythics, making them super rare doesn't mean people won't find them quickly. Not to mention 20 new models would take a ton of work, all of the models currently in-game weren't made in a day, you know.

 

True On all points. I just kind of thought of an idea where there could be special weapons with special abilities. The original idea actually came from the thought of a how shooting lightning, or the wand shooting fire. It just kind of developed without thinking.

Whenever I make a concept it's more of "hey, what do you think of this general idea" more than "here are the details, these are solid"

honestly, all of the wand weapons suck, expect the air one, plus some are kinda op, for example fire damage, like literally thats like 2000 damage per tick, it would kill qira and other mobs in matter of seconds to minutes.

 

Sounds pretty cool, except lighting stuff on fire can cause that weird glitch where the mob dies from fire and you don't get XP, and poison (on the Earth wand) is on so many other weapons already, it would have to be really high damage poison to be useful.

You can't balance an op item by making it rare, that isn't fair.

Also mythics are super rare.
A one in million drop rate means that if all players on wynn got one drop we will get 1-2 mythics.
But we don't get one drop, we all kill hundred of mobs every day.
