World Iron Heart Part 2

There are lots of people that have accidentally pressed the Quest NPC when trying to open their Quest Book. There should be some way where they can redo the quest by setting their character back to a previous save or allowing a Mod to take away the leggings and emeralds they earned and setting it to where they can do the quest again. Also, they should change it so that when one is holding the quest book, the left and right click don't do anything. By the way , that's pretty cool how they are multiple endings to a quest, although it has its disadvantages.

I think it would just be better if you couldn't interact with NPCs while holding your quest book.

Yeah but the NPCs didn't work like that before, so nobody knew until it was too late

 

If they created a save mechanic in the game, it would be a recipe for duping. Someone can just take a stack of LE out of their bank or a really good piece of armor, save the game, then give it to someone else. Then they revert back to that save and repeat. It's really the players' fault if they spam-click.

 

This is probably not the way to do it. Maybe something like "Are you sure?" And make a GUI or a chat box pop up with you having to click it.

 

But he clearly said in his text that you right-click him again if you want to take his bribe.

 

When people got to the decision part, then tried to open their quest book to see what it says. The detection hitbox on Quest NPCs were supersized, most likely to stop the baby villagers being nigh impossible to talk to. When the people right clicked their book, they activated the hitbox, thus automatically choosing their path for them. This was the 1st quest where people really encountered these hitboxes, so if they didn't want to choose that path, they got cheated out of the opportunity to choose the other one. Both my friend and I suffered from this. For Path-Based Quests, I think a "Confirm?" option would be a good idea, so no mistakes like this are made.
