World Vip Perk Idea

An idea that would get me to sign up for VIP+ this instant would be: toggleable loot pick-up

Loot pick-up: upon signing into a server, a pop-up box asks you to select what kind of drops you'd like to pick-up. It would ideally have a box for emerald pick-up (yes/no) and a boxes for each grade of item. Your character only picks up the rarity you select and higher. For example, if i clicked 'no' for emeralds and the box beside 'rare', my char would only pick-up rare, legendary, and mythic items.

It doesn't provide any benefit other than saving me the headache of manually sorting all the items and dumping emeralds during farming sessions. I suck with code so I have no idea how difficult it'd be to implement, but I'd get VIP+ this instant if it saved me 10 minutes of sorting hassles every hour.

 

if people are doing item bombs, it can be abusive, with people using there moves just for legendary and mythic.

 

Well I was at that bomb party with what's-his-nuts the other day. 53 bombs got dropped. Most people got nothing but trash. I got a single rare, two uniques, and 6 whites. Pretty sure there's nothing to worry about there. Besides, it wouldn't be hard to code that in. Any dropped item within a certain radius (15 blocks maybe) of an item bomb explosion is rendered inapplicable for the sorting system. Boom, bomb goes off. All items within that radius are locked to the sorter for 30 seconds. Or, alternatively, you could code it into the bomb: all drops invalid for sorting. A relatively simple workaround.

Good catch for possible issues, though.

 

Really? Well I got 5 legendaries, while another guy got 8, alongside the 5 mythics.
I think using tiers can be abused.

I found 1 idea that I actually like in here. Real quick to you 2. This would make PICKUPS filtered, not inv.

The way I know it, item bombs shoot out items with no id what so ever. Which is why if a lvl 10 picks up diamond armor, he would get a leather unique. Since these items arent under any rarity before pickup, it would be picked up and not dropped
