Media The Secret Of Gale - Looking For Gale's Tomb!

In another conversation on @jpmrocks thread we determined a few things about the Archer known as "Gale."

She can be seen (more specifically her ghost) in the Hive as Spirit of Gale. As @Selvut283 confirmed she chose to serve Qira on her own behalf and was not created by Qira. Which begs the question, why is she serving Qira?

Now, we currently need to find her tombstone, as it may reveal more clues. What we need is some fellow theorists willing to get to the bottom of this to help find it. We suspect it is somewhere in Gavel, and it is unknown (but recommended) that you have Ohm's Wish (as it tells you to "leave this at my Gale's gravesite." If you find further clues or possible locations, please notify us so we can figure this out.

Here are the hints we have been given:
- It is considered high on the Y-axis.
- Most cases lead to it being in Gavel, but Wynn is just as likely.
- It has several markings location where it is.
- Not many people have been by it.
- It has a stone block near its entrance (I know, shocking stuff.)

Ohms are the unit used to measure electrical resistance, if that helps.

 

"Ohm's Wish" is a wierd name for a wand, but makes sense since it does thunder/air dmg

Anyway this sounds very interesting. And yes, it does seem like the wand will be important.

But the wiki has just been gavel updated (from what I have heard) and I have not been able to check it yet

 

That probably explains why the wand does Thunder damage.
So we've got Ohms as a thunder mage and Gale as a wind archer. Problem is, I have next to no clue where those two could be buried. Maybe look at the levels of Ohm's Wish and Gale's Force?

 

Yo, we could use gales for s against gales spirit, as it says "users sometimes feel gales spirit fighting along side them"? But stayed by selvut, we don't know what her weapon was

 

In a thread called "what we know about qira" they get into this, too.

 

You've got a point, Selvut said that we "have not found her memento to Ohms yet" and "to be patient" so I'm assuming in the future updates we might get a "Gale's Wish" or something

The weapon Gale's Force was probably hers.

The wand Ohm's Wish also states that "I promised her a memento, too", meaning the Legendary Boots Memento may also be involved.

Gale's Force requires 30 Dexterity to be usable even though it does not deal any Thunder damage, while Ohm's Wish does not require any Dexterity even though it deals thunder damage.

My guess is, in a place related to electricity, if you bring Gale's Force, Ohm's Wish and Memento with you, it will trigger some kind of event. There's probably more to it though.

Also I wouldn't be willing to throw 3 Legendary items into a hopper...

 

I have memento but can't go on to check the stats right now.

 

A mod confirmed you dont need to throw those things into hoppers, but something else may be added in the future

 

From what I'm assuming, our best bets to find her tomb should be in either Dark/Kander Forest (both have a ton of graves) or Canyon of the Lost (that place has lots of secrets, who knows? Might be worth a shot.)

 

Well, ohm and gale imply thunder/air, so we might do well looking for places like that. I think the Sky Islands might be the place to look.

The Canyon has been combed by many people and no graves of this sort have been found, and in my time in Dark/Kander forest, I have found many graves, but none with the names Ohm or Gale.

 

I am currently in the canyon of the lost trying to speed run over to molten heights or ahsmord, so if I see anything I'll tell you

 

The name is just Ohm, not Ohms.

 

Selvut called him by Ohms, it must be the odd way of dealing with names that end with "s" when possessive.

Well, what we are looking for is probably hidden from normal view, and about Sky Islands, it does make sense, but they did say it was unfinished. (Still definitely worth a try though)

 

What about the frozen castle east of the sky islands? Has anyone else noticed that on the map? Could that be it?

 

I found a strange grave near the mountains of the Sky Islands but I didn't see anything about Ohms or Gale.

 

Could be in the Sky Islands - that place seems to be the air-themed area.
