Nerf The Corrupter Of Worlds

Hey guys, I think the CoW should be nerfed. Not in a overall fashion, but maybe just the elemental resistence. As it having 220(!!!!!!) elemental resistance for water, earth, and also fire. This only allows for either extremely powerful elemental characters, or restricts you to the playstyle of a really fast and lucky character, (Thunder and Air). Me, as a earth, water, and fire mage, it is almost impossible to defeat him, and if I try to do it with friends, im not able to deal enough damage to get a heart.

While it isn't the end of the world, as I just grinded my way past 68 and am doing gavel quests and will probably rejoin that quest when I need to buy Bob's Mythic Wand.

 

No, CoW is meant one of those tough bosses, if he were nerfed, it would be WAY to easy and un-op, but if you have troubles with him , simply don't solo him. It would be best to have a group of 5-6 people with you.

 

The CoW was not a difficult boss for me. I of course had help with someone of the same level when i was 68. He and I were both archers and handled him just fine. Not every boss is meant to be soloed.

 

CoW is not hard at all... I killed him with a friend. If you think CoW is hard then don't even think about EVER doing Amadel or bob. Those bosses are insanely Op at the moment.

 

I rather enjoy their difficulty, actually gives me a reason to use my dodging ability.

 

I already have, and we beat him easily, but I didn't get a Corrupted Heart, cause I didn't deal enough damage. Im just requesting to let him be open to more playstyles, not just one playstyle.

RIGHT NOW, he is extremely easy with one playstyle, and almost impossible with the majority of other playstyles. What am asking is not for a complete nerf, just more balancing. So add a little more thunder defense, and lower the defense for Earth, Water, and Fire.

I don't want to waste 2 LE and a bunch of time grinding for a new weapon just to beat one boss. (2 LE, 1 for skill reset to get air damage, the other to come back to the playstyle I want to play.

They claim that all of the subclasses (Earth, Thunder, Water, Fire, and Air) are playable, but this boss makes a SERIOUS limitation. I just want it to be able to be PLAYABLE, (Not easy) for at least a few different subclasses.

Well sh*t, I'm sheepless get it? get it? sheepless = speechless? damn im lonely ;-;

 

One boss...? Sure, its one boss, but its a boss that relates to the story and introduces a new part to the lore for those who don't already know the deets. Its an ENORMOUS part of lore and bosses are just that, bosses. They are supposed to take time to defeat, your supposed to prepare for them, you really think your gonna kill it in 20 hits(depends) right when you get the quest? And with this buff its even harder. The lore doesn't even include the human player, AT ALL. It doesn't, and we should assume since there are more than one of us, NPCs and players, that we travel together and do different things. Certain bosses can't simply be soloed in practically one hit(old assassin).

Just, think deep about this.

 

Again, I think everyone here is misunderstanding me, I don't want it to be a EASY boss, I just don't want to be forced into a playstyle that I don't want to play, (Thunder/Air). A boss should be difficult, YES, YES PLEASE, I absolutely love difficult bosses, they are some of the most fun, I just think it should be a boss that is difficult because of its damage output, health, and health regen, NOT the resistance, as it requires you change your entire playstyle. I just want it to be a boss that I don't have to COMPLETELY CHANGE MY PLAYSTYLE.

if you think that CoW's elemental resistance is unfair then take a look at bob's elemental resistance. He is pretty much immune to all elements at the moment!
A tip: go in as archer(if high enough level) and camp in a high spot and bomb arrow/arrow storm him to death.

 

Wait… how much is it on average? I didn't know this was a record-breaking feat! (Right?)

I remember the days whens soloing him with a mage... OH WAIT I STILL CAN

 

It doesn't matter how much damage you do. When any mob dies, the drops can be picked up by everyone after a 20 second cooldown.

(The cooldown might be more or less than 20 seconds, I don't know the exact time, but it still works the same)

So, get some friends to help you. If you don't deal enough damage, just tell your friends to step away from the drops so they don't pick them up. After 20 seconds you should be able to pick up the drop.
