World Redo The Entire Friends System

our friends system sucks

the worst part is anyone can add you as a friend and you cant do anything about it

if someone you hate adds you as a friend
you are screwed

if you throw an xp bomb everyone adds you as a friend
you get 20 messages a minute "can u plz throw a bomb again plz pzl plz pzl plzpzzlspzszlszoidsjiosla"



so anyways
here is my idea for new friends system




Adding friends:
/friend add (name)

That player receives a message saying "(name) wants to add you as a friend! Type /friend accept (name) to accept!"

If you leave a request for over an hour it will just go away.

Removing friends:
/friend remove (name)

This will remove whoever from your list, and will remove you from theirs.

Blocking people:
Typing /block (name) will make it IMPOSSIBLE for that person to find you on a server(unless they happened to be on the same world as you). Any messages from them won't show up, they can't send you a friend request, and can't /find you.



There can also be a /privacy command which opens a GUI with options like "disregard all requests" so it's like only you can send requests. or an option to say "make me invisible" which is like no one can /find you


so yeah i just really feel like our current friends system sucks
open to criticism
unless it's about grammar or organizing my text
i don't need that

 

That timeframe seems too long, maybe shorten it to 5 minutes, maybe? You did mention the XP bomb friend spammers, and having tons of requests bothering you for an hour seems too long.

Other than that your suggestion should be implemented - months ago some trolls added me and I don't want to remove them because I'll still be on their list.

 

I would not redo the friend system. I would only add the /ignore command

 

I totally agree, the friend system is pretty lacking, and needs a redo.
