    I think you should add a feature that lets the player see if he/she has a friend thats in the lobby or the lobby player can see if he/she has a friend thats playing on a server.
    And you should also be able to chat with your friend from the lobby via /msg

    everything except the message across the loby is already in the game, if someone is on your friend list you will see if they are in the lobby
