{quest} An Iron Heart Iii

Starting NPC: Dr Dezio
Brief: Dr Dezio (One of Gavels greatest scientists) here's about the underground iron golem factory. He thinks of a way to bring Iron Golems back to humans, but needs your help. You then search for a wizard who can stop humans from melting, by making a fire resistant potion that only effects living things only. You get him ingredients to make it, but just about when you think you found a way to bring iron golems back to their real life, a thief steals the formula.

We have nearly just discovered one of Gavels darkest secrets, and I am in charge of solving it's damage.

Go to a cave by a tree close to levigar, and in it Earth essence will randomly spawn in it. Fire dust spawns around the nether portal in Wynn

So if I learn how to bind this earth essence with the fire dust.... The essence will be Immune to fire..... And then I can make a potion.....

The target of the potion will be immune..... Wait! I forgot something!

I need to use the formula of extraction! It's a formula used for making potions, by extractions the ingredients into a certain liquid.

In order to make this work I need it. I know that a potion maker of which lives in Troms has it...

So basically what happened at the end is you were talking with Zolus and a human NPC runs to you guys, punches Zolus, takes the potion and all the work that has been done, and takes away all the progress. He then knows the only option is to give up, but still pays you for your troubles. He decides since you already did enough work for him, he'll tell Dr Dezio that the goal has been failed.

Rewards:
35 EB
62 550 exp

Given that you even made lines for before and after you meet the conditions to start this quest, I would love to support it more than I do. Two things, however, keep me from doing so.

1. Why is this only for people who reported the lab? If you added another quest, which would only work for people who took the bribe, that would make it even. Think about it. Most people are interested primarily in XP. If choosing one side gives you access to another quest, then obviously people will be highly likely to choose that side. If either choice led to an exclusive quest, then that is much more enticing and makes the decision that much more impactful.
2. Nit-picky thing, but 62K experience for a level 67 quest seems low. If it were raised to 70K or higher I think that would make more sense. Most quests I have done so far in Gavel have given me close to 200K on multiple occasions, and, to my knowledge, I have not been under any XP bombs at the time of completion.

That's just my thoughts though. Aside from those, I see few reasons to not implement this aside from taking time away from bigger projects.

 

2 Quests! One for Bribe, One for Reporting it.
One quest when you're with the bad side, maybe trying to destroy that potions
One quest = your quest.

 

I highly doubt this would be a thing, only due to the "exception"
