World Im Not Very Happy About The Update, Sorry

Hey.
As this threads title says, Im not very happy about the new update, which is awesome.
But.
Theres one thing that I dont really like. Its the resourcepack. I tried it and it looked wierd to me.
I was just wondering if you could have that resourcepack as an option. So you dont HAVE to use it.

Why is it "wierd"? I think its brilliant! The Textures are not to complicated...

The weapon models are all different items (like stairs), so it's not optional. But maybe there could be a choice between a strictly essantial pack (with the item models and the ticks, etc. but with most of the blocks unchanged) and the current one (which would be default). Not sure if it's possible though.

 

You need the resource pack because some items will look weird. My bow is a jungle wood slab. You need it for the server to make any sense. Hopefully there'll be support for third party resource packs soon.

 

I think the Texture pack is just a Addon to the Game, that makes it better! And the 3D Weapons are Awsome!

And you need to play with it and i think you should respect the work. It was very very big! So respect that...

 

It's not required to have a resource pack, if you really hate it that much. If you want to play without, you go to server settings and disable Resource Packs. However, without it things will look really weird and confusing, and you'll have a constant message of "Please install the resource pack".

 

I know, but it was better when all bows were bows and sticks were sticks. Im not quite sure, but I think Im gonna quit due to this update, sorry

Its very hard to do this without a texturepack or i doesn't know is there 1300 diffrent sticks and shears???
