Boss Fight Re-design/health Regen Change

    Hi guys, Mike here.
    The Problem (for those of you who don't know DPS= damage per second)
    Recently I was playing some wynncraft trying to kill the boss Death. Now I've killed this fella before with relative ease on my assassin, due to the huge dps multihit can bring.
    However, playing on my archer I found that a combination of spells not casting properly and a lack of constant dps left me unable to consistently out dps the boss. Now my archer is 70 Def and 70 Agi Not much damage right? But why should I have the option to build tanky if it just isn't viable for killing bosses? Why should I need to rely on a friend with a high dps build to help me every single boss?

    So this brings me to my topic point: Boss health regen. In wynncraft's current state boss fights seem to be all about creating enough constant damage to kill the boss quicker than it heals. Now that to me just isn't right. It means tank oriented builds are sub-optimal at best. Some of you may argue that bosses are meant to be done in groups. Well for one, not everyone can find groups that easy, however that aside, what if your group are all low dps builds? You're still going to struggle.

    I find it strange that the bosses have huge health pools and rapid health regen. I suppose the purpose of regen is to stop people doing the boss easily by just carefully chipping away at his health with low risk and low reward attacks. I agree this sounds boring, so what can be done?
    The Solution
    My solution is to remove Boss regen, and keep the high health pools. What this would allow, is for the "challenge" of boss battles to be shifted towards different mechanics.

    Take death for example: He summons other bosses! But instead you have to almost ignore the other bosses, and just focus on killing death as quick as possible or else he will just regen to full health. Make it so he doesn't regen but the player has to kill the other remaining bosses before being able to deal damage to death.
    That's just one idea any ways.

    All in all, a tough but rewarding boss is not one where you have to do huge constant dps, but rather one that requires thought and practice.

    Death is pretty much the final boss in the game, and a final boss in any game has to be difficult. Death's health regen makes it so that you almost always need a friend to help you (unless you are assassin, double multi-hit+smoke bomb in corner = less than 30 second kill), but anyway, the final boss in the game should require you to need help, and stopping its health regen would make the boss fight much easier, and allow you to camp in one corner of the arena and use distance spells at will, which normally do low damage and are countered by health regen of bosses.

    I'm not implying that you should be able to solo him at all, I believe that the Challenge should be from the overwhelming onslaught of bosses so you need friends to help beat those. May I remind you that I am a fully endgame geared archer who couldn't do this with 2 other friends (mage and archer) Is it truly fair that assassin is the only class who excels in this fight (and most boss fights) ?

    Also he may be the final boss, however gavel is coming out soon and I hope it doesn't follow the same boss formula.

    It's true that the boss fights are missing a certain amount of individual "mechanics".
    This is not only a problem with the health but with the overall concept of bosses, it doesn't feel like there is a big difference between any of the big bosses. The content team is creative enough to change that and I'm really looking forward to Gavel, hopefully this will introduce some changes.

    Bob's Reincarnation is the final boss of Wynn thusfar. Death is a bonus boss. Bob is perfectly balanced and challenging for all classes while still being fun to fight. Death is just unfair and punishing, like many bonus bosses.

    Agreed. I have faith in the dev team for boss battles of Gavel!
