Honestly, I think that the healing potions are too slow. The only reason I would use them is because my health is so low, that it just takes one more hit to kill me.
If I try to drink a healing potion, I am dead because it takes too long. If the potions were changed to splash potions, you could heal your self in ~1 second.
This would make battles more interesting. When the opponent tries to drink a health potion because they are low on health, they are screwed because again it's too slow, and drinking a potion impairs your movement. If it was a splash potion however, he/she would be healed in an instant, and the attacker would have to start fighting for their life (Unless they also have a splash potion).
Another reason for using splash potions is that you can use them to heal your teammates. If you try to heal them with a regular potion, you have to drop it on the ground and hope they can pick it up in-time, or give it to them via the trading screen, which puts both of you at a disadvantage. If you used a splash potion, its almost instant, and it can heal multiple people at once.

TL;DR: Splash potions are better than regular potions

I can see your reasoning here, and I would have to agree. However, splash potions of healing can be used to damage undead mobs, and can heal multiple people. This could potentially make some errors.

On the bright side, with Gavel, potions are being buffed.

If your in a battle with a bunch of mobs or players or...both... you will not have that much mana to use for healing spells and what not, so you need to use a potion.

That's odd, because I always have enough space for at least 1 heal.

Potions are useless. Because they massively limit your movement speed, you will likely get hit for more than what you will regenerate.
Since you usually only have a few hotbar slots and Potions are decently rare, I agree with this.

    Why this isn't OP:
You need to use inventory space for this. Inventory space is more and more valuable, and not being able to carry some Looted items is not what you would want.
With Splash pots it's either: Save inventory spots but have a greater chance of death, or spend inventory space and have a better chance of survival, but you do need to gather the pots first.

    I really like this idea.

I support this, normal potions are only usefull in duels now. By the way, you should add a poll to easily keep track of your supporters!

Why not both? Have splash potions that do a decent amount less of healing and keep the potions we have now. And let all potion merchants have the ability to convert potions to and from splash potions. You can only convert same tier potions to the same tier and can only be converted at certain merchants.

Drinking potions is what makes Wynncraft more difficult. If you really need to use one, find a safe place first then drink it. LOGIC
if you really don't want to, ask people what weapons have life steal or mana steal
