I like the idea, traveling through boats takes a while but I also think that a teleport might ruin the sights I heard theres an amazing revamped cave on half moon island :)

With the new gavel expansion coming up, traveling is going to be more difficult, as far distances will be a problem. If Gavels only entrance is the gate at the top left corner of the map, boats shouldnt be the only way to travel through the ocean.
So my idea was to add... Ships!
They would work like this:

- You can enter the [Ship-menu] via a npc located in Nemract, maybe also add a Shipyard, just for the look of it.
- The ship menu will let you buy and customize a ship. At higher costs and levels, you can unlock perks like a nemract whiskey bar or even a bank on board.

- Once you bought the ship, you can access it via entering a mini-portal in form of some particles floating around at the end of the landing stages.

- You can then choose a destination! Note: Some islands (these far away) can only be chosen after buying an upgrade for them at the shipyard.

- Depending on how far away your destination is, it will take 1-5 minutes to get there. While traveling you are in a boat which has your bought addons (like the bar). There will be simulated water(boat) sounds, just for the effect. You can move around, and upon reaching your desired island, you will be teleported out.

This will not replace the current boat system, as it is useful to travel to way smaller islands, it is just a possible addition.

Note: e.g (1) = 1 Minute traveltime
Tier 1 Islands: (Unlocked by Default) (per travel Price: 10e)
- Durum Isles (1)
- Rooster Islands (1)
- The Bear Zoo (1)
- Halfmoon Island (2)
Note: Important Islands/Cities often have higher traveltimes
Tier 2 Islands: (1-time Price:16eb) (per travel Price: 20e)
- Mage Island (2)
- Selchar (3)
- Zhight Island (2)
- Santa Island (2)
- Pirate Town (2)
Note: All island-tier prices are 1-time-purchases
Tier 3 Islands: (1-time Price:32eb) (per travel Price: 2eb)
- Pirate Town (3)
- Ice Islands (3) - (Nodguj/Dujgon Nation) - (4)
- Skiens Islands (3)
Note: Prices increase as tiers do
Tier 4 Islands: (1-time Price:1le) (per travel Price: 5eb)
- Dead Island (4+1/2)
- Maro Peaks (4 + 1/2)
- Tree Island (4)
- Vulcano Island (5)

Tier 5 Islands: (1-time Price:1le32eb) (per travel Price: 10eb)
- Gavel Gate (5)

Piracy:
By default, you have a 10% chance of getting attacked by pirates while traveling.
The chance increases by 5% for every new Tier of destinations unlocked.
The chance can be lowered, by buying guards at the shipyard.

If attacked, mobs with a black leather armor and a custom-npc head (=Meele Pirates)
and mobs with a white leather armor, a bow and the custom-npc head (=Ranged Pirates)
will spawn. The fight will take place on the deck of the ship, the pirates will be 5-10 lvls under the players lvl.
When you win the fight, you will gain a small potion of xp, and your desired location will be reached instantly.
When losing the fight, you will be teleported back to Nemract and 1 SP will be lost.

Parties:
When being in a party while entering the ship, a sign (like the guild-ones) will appear asking you if you would like to take your partymembers with you. Each of them will receive a sign-message too, if they agree they will be teleported to the same ship. Pirate-attacks also will be adjusted to the average-party level.

Clan feature:
Clans will have the /guild ship command, accesable for Captain+ Ranks
It will open the same menu as the shipyard menu, with the difference that you can buy and customize a clan-ship. It would be handy for reaching and defending a territory far off all cities, like Tree Island. When someone starts a ship-travel via the "start-block" in the /guild ship menu, all players in the guild will receive a message similiar to the guild-war message. After a 5minute countdown, all clanmembers in the Nemract area will be teleported to the . The traveling costs will be paid from the clan-bank, and the chance of getting attacked by pirates will be increased by 10% in general.
Upon getting attacked by pirates, all guildmembers on board will be teleported to a larger version of the soloplayer-deck.
Pirates will appear in waves, increasing in lvls (but around the average guildlvl)
When the fight ends and all pirates are defeated, the guild will gain some xp (5-10k?) and the desired location will be reached instantly. Additionaly, all players will receive 1 [Stolen Pirate Whiskey], applying resistance for 20 seconds.

This is one of those high quality posts with a well thought out concept and lots of description, but I still don't like. Wynncraft is all about exploring, and its really fun to end up at a random island when looking for a quest NPC or something. Because of this, I don't like fast travel in most RPG games that I play. Being able to almost instantly get to most islands would take away from this, and just tp scroll to selchar or something if you have to.

This is not instant. It literally says it takes 1-5 minutes. Would you rather sit in a boat in a endless ocean for 5 minutes? Or go with this idea which he has added some events.

I personally love this idea, because boats and horses both have a tendency of crashing my game. That means I never travel to islands. However, this idea would eliminate that problem. I love it!
