    NOTE: This is the first time I've ever posted a class suggestion, my DMG precentages might make my class OP or UP. Don't just say that the class sucks. I want constructive critisism that can help me improve this class. Also, there's some cosmetic effects that I can't seem to put down on the spells. I wrote HALP ME on those.

    Anyways...

    THE THIEF
    Originating from the bandits of the deserts. These adventureous fellows have spread across the province, some who lives the old life of stealing and robbing. While others have passed the skills that the original bandits mastered. They are experienced at pickpocketing and stealing. And now knows how to strike deadly blows on oblivious opponents. However, they aren't good at fighting face to face.

    Unlock thief after 30 total lvs. (No fast and free loot for ya m8, gotta work a bit for it.)
    Weapon: Knife (lever, best thing I could find)

    Stats:

    DMG [][][][][]
    DEF: [][][][][] (70% armor value)
    RANGE: [][][][][]

    Yes, I know, these stats doesn't add up. And there's a reason for that:

    BONUSES!

    Yes. Thieves have:

    • 20%+ drop chance (chances to drop equipment. Does not increase the rarity of the stuff you get, only more stuff.)
    • Backstabbing gives you 200%+ DMG, 400%+ for the spell "Deadly stab" (Does not work for steal)
    • an ability to dodge where you press shift and gives you invincibility for 2 seconds, and knocks away melee mobs by 1 block. Melee players by 3 blocks. The invincibility dissappears when you get hit (the actual dodge). Halves the invincibility duration of the next dodge when you dodge successfully. Resets once you get hit. Some attacks really counter this though (multihit haha)
    • Another stat! Instead of Agility, you have "looting". Which gives you 1%+ looting chance every 5 "looting" stats.
    So here we go, now to the skills:

    SKILL 1: STEAL _____ Cosmetic effects: Critical hit

    lv. 1 Hunger - 4

    A melee attack that has the range of your usual attack. Does 50% DMG and increases the loot drop bonus by 40%+ when killed, 50%+ if killed with a backstab (chances to drop equipment). Thieves have a 20%+ drop bonus to start off with. meaning this will give a 60%+ loot drop bonus... If you can kill the mob with the move... You also do not get the bonus if you kill the enemy while its burning, withering or poisoned.


    Lv. 2 Sick hand: Hunger -4

    Inflicts poison that does 20% DMG 10 times

    Lv. 3 Plant bomb Hunger -5


    Plants a bomb that explodes after the poison is over. dealing 200% DMG to the enemy and 100% DMG in an area of 7 blocks.

    NOTE: Killing the enemy with the poison or the bomb does not give the drop bonus. Those upgrades are basically there to make the move somewhat usable in offensive purposes. And to make it difficult to get the steal bonus.

    SKILL 2: HIGH JUMP____ Cosmetic effects: trail of the bomb arrow

    Lv. 1 Hunger -4

    Launches you forward 6 blocks in the way you're facing. Does not launch you if if your angle is less than 45 degress.

    Lv. 2: Smokescreen: Hunger -3


    Places a smokebomb on the spot where you jumped that explodes immediately. The smoke blinds, slows and makes all enemies invisible. It also makes the user invisible, but the user doesn't suffer any negative effects.

    Lv. 3 Flee: Hunger -2

    Grants you speed V 1 second after you land on the ground. You keep the speed as long as you run straight forward. If you do a 90 degree turn, you lose your speed.
    Another way to lose your speed is to stop sprinting

    I personally like this spell. You can use it for movement, for escaping or for offensive and defensive purposes.

    SPELL 3: DEADLY STAB ____ Cosmetic effect: HALP ME!

    lv. 1 Hunger -8

    a 300% DMG stab. 3 blocks more range than your usual attack. only attack that gets 400%+ DMG bonus from backstabbing. I want to encourage backstabbing. 400%+ DMG bonus is huge.

    Lv. 2: Bleed: Hunger -8

    enemy takes 20% DMG five times within a span of 5 seconds. Grants a weak regen effect as long as you're 0-2 blocks away from your enemy that lasts for 5 seconds after the stab.

    Lv. 3 Bloodthirsty: Hunger-8

    Bleed now gives you strength I after the stab that lasts 5 seconds. And increases the DMG done by deadly stab by 100%+ everytime you hit an enemy with the move. the DMG bonus dissappears once you either run out of hunger or use another move.

    SPELL 4: DECOY PUPPET _____ Cosmetic effect: HALP ME!

    lv. 1 Hunger -6

    puts down an exact copy of you in the spot you're standing in. While the puppet is active, you're invisible. Good way to get backstabs in PvE. The puppet doesn't move. If you attack, the puppet dissappears.

    lv.2: Ventriloquist Hunger -5

    The puppet moves, but in random directions. Does not walk toward 4 block high drops.

    Lv. 3: Dynamite puppet Hunger -4

    Puppet explodes when hit. explosion is 10 blocks wide, and does 200% DMG.



    This spell is based off an attack that bandits in Mario and luigi: Dream team has.

    Shadow Burglar:
    Rob: Nether portal effect
    Shadow leap: HALP ME!
    Death's hand: HALP ME!
    Doppleganger: HALP ME!

    Weapon damage scaling: I would like the scaling to look something like this:

    Again, sorry for my crappy skills
    As you see, the scaling gets worse after lv. 26. Thats because thief is really bad with it's offensive capabilities in the start. After lv. 26. Thief gets smokescreen on High Jump. Something that it can use to take advantage of the backstab bonus.

    PROS:
    Great mobility. I think.
    Rather strong DMG.
    Good for shopkeepers

    Cons:
    Fast hitting attacks: Arrow storm, multihit.
    Fragile.

    although the spells might need a bit more creativity, as I can see some already-existing concepts :3

    Yesh, I agree, Deadly stab isn't exactly creative, but I didn't want anything AOE, as it shouldn't be a really good crowd control class :3

    It's an okay suggestion except for this. The Assassin and Ninja already use a Dagger, which is far too similar.

    Some good-looking particle effects I know are:
    • witchMagic (purple particles)
    • magicCrit (like crit, but blue)
    • smoke (smoke :p)
    • largesmoke (bigger smoke and heavy)
    • townaura (bedrock and mycelium)
    • portal (portal :p)
    Also, for the weapon, maybe you could use a hoe as a lock-pick or crowbar!

    There are so many partical effects. I think that fireworks and redstone particles are the most customizable ones.

    Ty, only problem I find is the weapon, a lockpick isn't exactly a weapon, and crowbar sounds a bit... Modern.
    I thought assassin used shears, it's only the mythic that's labeled as a dagger.

    Good point, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a dagger. (Like, considering the weapon names and all)

    I getcha from that. Still, knives and daggers really is the only weapons I would imagine thieves use. :/

    I personally think the DPS output is a bit too much. (Especially Deadly Stab, and Shadow Puppet. The Shadow Puppets 200% DMG in explosion should be reduced to about 50-100%) Seeing as the Assassin and Ninja already do insane amounts of DPS. But if you tweak it a little I really would love to see this class in WynnCraft. :D

    Passive stuff (drops and looting and stuff) is way to OP

    Abilities are good

    But the 400% backstab on ability 3 is way too OP, plus not backstab still does 300%

    i don't think thief is a good idea .Thats no hate your idea is cool but there is already assassin .Both of these classes go in the same direction which is to be stealthy .But I think the attacks are cool .Maybe they are a bit to op :D
    In total I'm a fan of a new class .
